Chapter 258: The Hearts Of Humans
"!?!?"
When Harkath reappeared, it was already too late for Omarm to stop his rash attack as a large muscular hand penetrated his outer layer of skin. It drilled through all his defenses before finding itself on the other end of his body!
*Spurt!*
Omarm coughed up a big glob of blood as his reddened face turned ashen; his gaze transformed into one of bewilderment and fear.
"You always were the hotheaded type, Omarm. And for thousands of years, it has helped get you through many tough predicaments. Such as the day you and I met as fledgling spiritualists…" Harkath spun his hand around inside the innards of Omarm as his words leaked into his ears like the deadliest of knives.
"Tell me, Omarm. Do you recall the time that we both discovered our talent to be beyond the Ashura Rank? That we would be the future rulers of our Tribe…?" Harkath\'s voice became oddly melancholic as he felt around for something inside Omarm\'s body.
*Spurt! Spurt!*
Blood clot after blood clot gushed out of Omarm\'s mouth as his life force was on the verge of fading away...
"We were friends once... We were supposed to rule the world together... But you decided to join the Water Deity Tribe. You betrayed me… You betrayed us all." Harkath no longer hesitated with his actions as he plunged his other hand into Omarm.
*Spurt!*
Omarm was given one last blow as Harkath used both his hands to open up the back of his \'friend\', making his appearance look something like the bloody eagle from Norse mythology.
Following the creation of this gruesome scene, Harkath grabbed at a glowing red vein that ran along Omarm\'s entire backside. He yanked and pulled at this vein before ripping it out entirely!
"A Fire Elemental Vein of the Strongest Person in the Fire Deity Tribe. Should be above Rank 9…" Harkath stored the vein in his storage bag as he watched the life fade from his friend\'s dimly lit red eyes.
"You betrayed me... But this sacrifice of yours will allow me to become one step closer to the level of a God—one step closer to surpassing those who enslaved us… I will change our fate, my friend." Harkath cupped the cheeks of the dead Omarm, seemingly giving him a path to a better afterlife.
"I will do it for the future that we once envisioned all those years ago… I will become the only God of this world."
His words faded off into the tredges of reality as he let his friend\'s corpse drop into the everlasting currents of the sea.
After standing there, thinking about a number of things inside his mind, he eventually left the airspace and went toward the mountain where his mount was waiting for him at.
Harkath took a look at the devastated state of the mount—which had lost its master—and decided to put it out of its misery. One swift hand swipe, and the beast was thrown into the embrace of the sea, right alongside its master.

After everyone left the scene, Azmodeus replayed the last series of events and couldn\'t help but compare Harkath to that of a protagonist.
"I do wonder what that calculative man will do in the days to come… Will he become the god that he has always wanted to be…? Or will he fail and fall to the depths of the ocean, just as his friend had…?"
Azmodeus looked off into the setting sun as a growing sense of anticipation welled up inside him. He wanted to know what would happen next, but he knew that it would take time for the outcome to be laid out.
In the end, he vanished from his floating chair and zipped in the direction of where the next Biome should be.
It took less than an instant for Azmodeus to materialize next to his destination, and when he saw the newest Biome, he could already see the exploration to be had.
"A land of snow and ice... covered by a deep sheet of white, shrouding the world away from its beauty." He spoke these words with a hint of appreciation, as the world before him was a truly beautiful one.
But as with all things, there would always be brutality hidden beneath the beauty.
That point was proven right away, as a snow village was currently in the process of being plundered...
Its men were being slaughtered, while its women were being carried away and ravaged. The frosty white rooftops of the quaint little village homes were dyed a deep crimson red as a mixture of blood and fire set the world ablaze.
"The life of humans. The desires of evolved monkeys. The complex array of life…"
Azmodeus found such a sight befitting the true nature of humans, as no matter if in one reality or the next, they would always find a way to ruin something beautiful.
"The world is a cruel one, and these people are just one of the many cases of cruelty… They are not the first to die to the sinister nature of humanity, and neither will they be the last."
God\'s apathetic expression fluctuated in and out of reality, and if someone among the dying villagers or lively raiders saw the face of their Creator, they would think that their Savior had arrived.
He had arrived to save them! To take them away from this cruel world…!
But unfortunately for them, Azmodeus was not that kind of God…
FWAZIP!
A beam of brilliant red light erupted from the skies as the village and the raiders forever disappeared from the face of the earth.
"It doesn\'t seem like I get any loot for killing the living organisms in this world…"
Heaving an exasperated sigh, Azmodeus\'s faded face glanced at the fiery red death and destruction in the vicinity.
He really wanted to acquire another decent farming spot, but hopes were often dashed away as soon as they sprouted up…
Well, since that was a bust, I guess I will go over to where the next Biome hint should be…
Following this thought, Azmodeus left the scene of utter pandemonium and darted in a certain direction.
While on the road again, taking his time, he decided to open up his Infinite World system interface again.
A bright blue and golden light flashed.
BLING!
...…..
