Summoned and Unwanted

Chapter 362

Regardless of the possibility of growing grapes or not. Vincent, Kazumi, and Leonis were forgetting the most crucial part. Land.

The property has a mansion, a long and wide carriage path connecting to the entrance, a stable, a workshop, a small farm where Iris grows herbs, a soon-to-be-built barn for the animals, and now a small vineyard for the summer.

The property was slowly becoming a small village. Sakura, Maid Xu, Sofy, and Yula had a lot in their hands to manage everything in the upcoming six academic months.

Later, Nick and Vivid escorted Vincent and Leonis outside. Nick shook Vincent’s hand and mentioned wanting to meet again in the academy as the week of preparation to attend could make it difficult to visit.

Vincent mentioned he was thinking of making a trip for his honeymoon, which would later spark a long conversation in the carriage between him and the worrying Leonis.

Nick waved at Vincent and lowered his hand when the carriage left. His expression suddenly turned grim, and he asked, “Vivid. Can I meet my father? Something bad happened, right? I remember more items on the list for today’s auction?”

“Not now, Master Nikolai. Lord Victor and Lady Vikki are busy at the moment.” Vivid answered. His worried expression told Nick all he needed to know. Their items for their auction were tampered with, and it might have been an inside job as the security is tight.

*Sigh* “At least I didn’t lose another friend. Vincent looked happy with the Nimbus Nerve. ” Nick relaxed his expression and smiled. He didn’t have the worst outcome and lost a friend who had similar thoughts as him regarding how people should be treated.

.....

Vivid heard about Nick’s new friend and wondered why a thirty-two-year-old man would become friends with an eighteen-year-old teen.

Vincent looked almost as young as a teen. There is no facial hair and a baby face with young smooth skin and no start of a wrinkle in sight. However, no one would guess that Vincent was recently rejuvenated with Oveload’s astonishing regeneration.

“Master made a good friend. But the identity of the man who married into nobility with a widow who had her husband pass away in a week’s time and is almost at the age to be your father worries me.” Vivid worried Nick might experience another heartbreak. He wanted to protect Nick, if possible, from a bond filled with uncertainty.

Nick smiled and asked, “Aren’t you old as well? ”

“Hmm...”

“Vivid. You were helping the servants unload the gifts, so you couldn’t hear his speech when the shocking fifth bride appeared.” Nick chuckled and continued, “Don’t judge a book by its cover as what’s inside is the most important part in a person.”

Nick turned and faced the two orc bouncers. “Vincent only looks at the personality and doesn’t discriminate. Five wives of different shapes, sizes, and races. I never thought a man like him existed.” Nick smiled and entered the auction house.

*Emerald Lionheart Mansion*

The carriage stopped in front of the entrance. Vincent and Leonis were greeted by all the mansion residents apart from Lenn and Renn guarding the gate and Eliara and Fliara sleeping after their shift ended.

Leonis became delighted to see his daughter smile after he gifted her the grapes. However, his face soon frowned as the spotlight didn’t last too long on him. Soon, the name Zero was being said over and over again. Furthermore, because Zero was in Vincent’s pocket, everyone soon surrounded Vincent.

Kazumi had a great laugh watching Leonis become grumpy and glare at Vincent for stealing his daughter’s attention.

Lilith noticed her father had a frown on his face. She thought he didn’t want to leave yet, so she invited her father to stay for dinner, but he refused.

However, he had no choice but to accept after hearing his daughter say, “Please, father. I would like you to eat with us. It is fun, and I would like to have mother join us as well one of these days.”

Leonis soon experienced a loud and unmannered dinner. He didn’t complain about the food, but the many people eating with their hands instead of a fork and a knife were going to haunt his dreams.

However, after Leonis became disturbed to eat his food, the environment slowly made him feel relaxed, and his appetite returned. When eating, the smiles and sometimes chuckles felt like a nice change of pace.

Leonis saw his daughter eating happily as if she was enjoying a treasure. He felt pleased his daughter was living in a good environment where happiness was more important than etiquette.

Leonis promised that both Teresa and he would visit on the day Lilith went to the academy after dinner. Later, he hugged his daughter and left.

After Vincent retold what happened in the auction house and to Zero, Iris brought a pot with soil for Zero.

Zero didn’t seem to like being far from Vincent. Vincent had to poke his finger and drop a few beads of blood on the soil to appease the vampire plant.

(Happy)

Zero said while planting its tiny root-like feet in the soil.

A surprising thing soon happened. Iris unexpectedly repeated what Zero said, making everyone look at her. It appeared Iris could hear Zero speak because it was a plant.

Later, after leaving Zero in the pot downstairs to enjoy resting in the soil with the blood of its bonded individual, Vincent went upstairs to sleep, or so he thought...

Their new bedroom was now in a different room or rooms. The Lionheart girls spent a day breaking the wall of one room to make two adjacent rooms become one large room. Furthermore, the new bedroom was at the most distant corner of the mansion. It was far from any owned and used bedroom.

Vincent entered the bedroom. It was more than he and Kazumi expected to see in one day. Furthermore, there wasn’t a speck of dust as if it was always a large bedroom.

A large bed was in the middle of the destroyed wall. Additionally, there appeared to be a lot of decorations and objects such as wardrobes or desks from the previous Demel Blackheart bedroom. The only objects from Lilith’s bedroom were the wardrobe, the desks, and makeup.

Ester looked at Sakura and said, “Sakura did the most breaking and moving with her strength.”

“I tried to help.” Sakura looked a bit shy after being praised.

Plow happily entered the new bedroom. As she looked around to see what made the loud noise almost all day, Lupa lifted Plow. She whispered something in her ear and placed Plow in a long box with a couple of soft cushions.

The door closed, and Plow soon started to hear loud noises.

Plow looked at the door. “That bad wolf promised me to have a very warm bed. ” *Pho* Plow closed her eyes and slept for a while because she wasn’t allowed to enter before the noise stopped.

Later, Plow woke up after having a nightmare of Vincent loving Zero instead of her. “No sound.” *Pho* “Plow can sleep on bed now.” She said while rolling off the soft cushions and standing on her feet.

Plow used her tails to open the door and climbed on the bed. She saw Vincent in the middle of the bed as usual. Plow soon walked on his stomach and sat on him.

“Bad wolf did not lie to Plow.” *Pho* “But Plow still not like bad wolf.” Plow closed her eyes and slept peacefully like a baby.

*Day 78 – 26 August – Morning*

In the morning, everyone gathered in the garden as Vincent told them he wanted to make an announcement. He was alone as his wives remained in the bedroom.

Vincent announced how he was going to spend a few days with his wives as a honeymoon. They were going to travel together and visit Okan Village as there was a quest and hoped to return home a day before the academy started.

However, Vincent didn’t want to cause unnecessary worry, so he didn’t mention the part where they had to kill a Great Gray Wolf. Only his girls who were preparing what to take knew.

The sudden news shocked Maid Xu the most. She now knew why Lilith didn’t appear in the morning.

“I want to drive the carriage and take you all to the gate.” Sofy offered enthusiastically. It was going to be her first time driving without supervision.

“That would be great. You can go and prepare. Ask I you need help.” Vincent accepted.

“I will prepare breakfast and also something to take for your days outside. You can store them in your storage thing to keep them warm.” Yula offered. With a simple nod from Vincent, she went to the kitchen with Tula, Leah, Clara, Beth, Olive, and Lian.

About an hour later, Yula was finished with the breakfast and food. Similarly, Sofy had attached three horses onto the carriage as she didn’t want to leave a horse alone in the stable.

Five women descended the stairs. Three pinkish-skinned. One light grayish-skinned. One greenish-skinned.

Everyone stared at Sakura because she looked like a different person. It appeared the time spent in the bedroom was mostly on Sakura to paint her face green and her horns painted with green glitters to resemble Iris’s horn.

[Lilith... why does she have the color green as makeup?]

-...-

Lilith had more strange makeup than Vincent and Kazumi imagined.
