The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 588 - 588 "Okay ladies, have fun,"

Why was she laughing? It was because her daughter was finally getting a taste of her own medicine. Every morning she would have to drag Ming Ming out of bed to get ready for school. They were late almost every morning which was incredibly frustrating.

Now Ming Ming was standing at the door calling out the exact same way she does when they were late. Lin Ruoxi couldn’t miss the opportunity to make fun of her.

“Honey, maybe you should try shouting a little louder that way they will get down the stairs faster,” she said before taking a sip of wine from her glass.

Ming Ming knew exactly why her mother was saying that. She now understood how frustrating it was to get people out of the house quickly.

“I would try threatening them. It works for me all the time,” suggested Zi Xingxi and Ming Ming’s eyes brightened.

“With what?” she asked and Zi Xingxi pulled out a handgun while saying,

“I usually shoot up and they come scurrying down... ow.”

The ouch at the end was because Lin Ruoxi had slapped her hand lightly while speaking through gritted teeth. “Don’t teach her that,” she said and Zi Xingxi shrugged her lips before putting it away.

.....

With the rim of the wine glass brushing past her lips she said, “I swear it gets my subordinates standing at attention.”

“Just keep shouting. It works trust me,” said Lin Ruoxi before turning to the floating display.

Yi Youxi who was lying on the couch asked, “Can’t I not go? I really don’t want to be in a crowded place.”

Lin Ruoxi brushed her son’s bangs off his face while saying, “You will be in the VIP section. Just have fun with your sister.”

Yeoh Jun entered the lounge coming from the training room and behind him was Yi Zhen. The two looked like they had been arguing over some mech battle or something but when they overheard Yi Youxi, they also didn’t want to go.

Imagine these two big men with great status in the federation going to a boy band concert. It sounded ridiculous in itself.

“Is that an option? Can we not go either?” said Yeoh Jun but Zi Xingxi refused him ruthlessly.

“You should go out and see the world. Besides, Ming Ming would be sad if you don’t go too,” she said and Lin Ruoxi nodded her head with a distorted look on her face after realising how bitter the wine was.

“And you need to spend time with your daughter so you have to go,” she said referring to Yi Zhen.

While she was saying that Zi Feiji opened the door and entered with Old Lu with a cute nimsel and shark plushy on a golden pillow like a little king.

“Guess who won!... Wait, why are you all here,” said Zi Feiji his brow arched. His house which wasn’t as lively for almost two decades was now packed with people everywhere.

“Hello grandpa,” said Ming Ming while playing with the little Nimsel.

Zi Feiji smiled at her as he pat her head lightly. “You seem to be the only respectful one in this room,” he said and the adults in the lounge started grumbling and mumbling.

“Did he win?” asked Ming Ming looking at the tiny golden crown on its head.

“Yes, he sure did. Isn’t he cute?” replied Zi Feiji with a proud look on his face like his child had won the Nobel peace prize.

Hansel twirled with a delightful wee wee sound as Ming Ming patted his fur. “Proud of you Hansel,” said Zi Xingxi the insincerity in her tone obvious. She was the grandma but she wasn’t allowed to go.

Yeoh Jun who always wanted to play with Hansel but was always forbidden tried to take advantage of Zi Feiji’s good mood and ask.

“That’s great. I will take him for an ice cream treat tomorrow,” he said while trying to pat the little winner but like a mother hen protecting her eggs Zi Feiji shielded Hansel.

“Nope, you can’t be trusted with him. He is delicate,” he said and Yeoh Jun was aggrieved. Everybody but him was allowed to spend time with the little guy. They even dressed him up and took pictures but he couldn’t even pick an outfit for him too.

He turned to his wife and didn’t even need to say anything. Zi Xingxi looked at her father and said, “It’s my turn to watch him tomorrow.” Yes, they had set a schedule because grandpa Zi monopolised Hansel. Even on that schedule Zi Han had very limited time despite Hansel being his. He was almost certain that if he has a child he won’t see his baby often as well because of these two.

“Fine,” said Grandpa Zi before walking away, “let’s go little Han Han, time for a bath.”

Zi Xingxi’s brows knitted as she turned to look at his disappearing back. “Don’t let Han Han hear you call him that.”

Zi Feiji just brushed her off as he passed Old Lu the gold pillow with pretty tassels.Yeoh Jun looked at his wife with a pitiful gaze and she had to explain, “I will be hung over tomorrow anyway so you can watch him.”

Yeoh Jun kissed his wife’s cheek seeming very ecstatic. He was going to dress him up like the three calamities and post the pictures. Yes, this man had gone as far as custom designing fully functional miniature versions of the three calamities. They didn’t have weapons but they could fly around. If he knew this would cause trouble he would never have made them functional.

“Thank you, wife. You are the best,” he said just as Zi Han and Yi Chen opened the door coming from outside.

“Sorry, we are late. Let’s go,” said Zi Han and Ming Ming finally showed a happy expression.

“Let’s go let’s go let’s go,” she said while pulling Yi Youxi off the couch, “it’s going to be fun.”

Yi Youxi was so stubborn refusing to move. He held on to his mother like he was glued to her. Frustrated, Ming Ming looked at her father with a pitiable expression.

Yi Zhen sighed before picking up Yi Youxi and carrying him over his shoulder.

“Okay ladies, have fun,” said Yeoh Jun waving but his expression almost seemed like he was
