Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!

Chapter 903

She had conveniently forgotten the existence of another Prince from the Rosenhyde Royal family, one whom the King loved and cherished a lot.

She also ignored the presence of many other younger girls from the lower noble families who had the capability of discrediting her theories.

However, despite all odds, she had gotten a few things right.

Though which of her speculations would turn out to be true was something only time could tell.

Right now, the Marchioness was least bothered about the fate of the others as she had been focused on how to get closer to the Countess she had set her eyes on today.

.....

Oblivious to the fact that someone was trying to arrange a marriage alliance for her, Yvonne had a smile on her face as she observed the sight before her.

Surrounded by the soothing fragrance of a variety of flowers, a group of young children enjoyed the serene atmosphere in this new place they had just moved to.

“Didn’t I tell you that she is gentle?” Yvonne raised her brow while scanning those around her.

The little girls, who had been standing in close proximity to her, did not raise their heads to observe the look on her face but nodded in reply to her query.

After all, how could they bear to avert their gaze from the adorable and utterly fluffy animal laid on the ground before them?

Earlier, Taylor Tanner had suggested that their group should head towards the greenhouse where he informed, the etchers could be found.

He had done so in an attempt to separate his sworn sister from the menace who would not stop staring at her.

The girls, though unaware of the ambitious thoughts in his mind, had hesitant looks on their faces when the invitation to visit the greenhouse had been extended to them as well.

The etchers that the young master of the Tanner family had mentioned, they had heard about them.

By now, the news about Taylor Tanner finding his etcher during his stay at the Royal Academy had spread throughout the social circles so there wasn’t anyone who had not heard of it yet.

However, there had been no news about the kind of etcher he had obtained which was also the cause of the reluctance that was visible in the demeanor of these younger girls.

In a previous event held at the Tanner residence, they had come across the heir’s etcher, a red fox which had caused them to scream when they first met it.

Later on, witnessing Miss Yvonne pet it and play with it had managed to lower their fear and replace it with curiosity towards the beast.

However, no matter how harmless its adorable appearance made it seem, the fact that it was a predator who might attack them had been the source of their fears which would not disappear so soon.

Therefore, even after receiving the invitation to meet this etcher once again, they were hesitating to accept it.

Contrary to their worried thoughts, Yvonne St. Claire was overjoyed and had already nodded in acceptance of the suggestion.

When the youngest girl in the group noticed that not everyone was willing to join them, she had used her skills to entice them into coming along with her to the greenhouse.

Recalling the previous incident, the other girls were aware that Yvonne had met the beast enough times in the past to be able to pet it without hesitation but they weren’t the same.

They had met it only once and hence wished to know that the fox posed no real threat to them.

Hence she had gently persuaded them into joining her and thus this group had left the venue of the tea party under the inquisitive gaze of the other children as they headed towards the greenhouse, their next destination.

When they got close to the part of the residence that the Duchess personally took care of, Yvonne had taken the lead since the other girls were wary of who they might come across inside the greenhouse.

The two etchers who had been inside the entire time had approached them the moment they sensed the presence of outsiders in their territory.

The sight of a bright red fox who now had grown bigger than the last time they had seen it as well as a beautiful grey house cat had instantly caught their eye.

Not only was it mesmerizing enough to make them widen their eyes in awe but it also worked wonders in freezing them in place due to the fear that instinctually gripped their bodies.

However, Yvonne had assured them that their fears weren’t necessary as the two little beasts would do them no harm.

As though to prove the statement she had just made, Rouge, the pretty red fox had stopped approaching them and sat on the ground at a safe distance to help the young girls get used to her presence.

Sadly, this considerate behavior wasn’t present in Celestial who had leaped into the arms of his master the moment he got close enough, giving the girls a quick fright which made them take a few steps away from where they initially stood.

Yvonne, who had already witnessed the grey cat’s clingy behavior, could only roll her eyes at him before she went forward to calm the others.

Thankfully, they did not need too much comforting as Celestial did not appear to be as threatening as the fox.

Instead, they had already labeled him as a house cat belonging to the young master and thus had averted their attention to the only predatory beast in this place.

Only when Yvonne had stepped close to the fox and begun petting it did they let go of the fears in their hearts which now yearned to touch the seemingly soft fur of the beast.

However, they did not take another step ahead but turned in the direction of someone else, waiting to gain confirmation that they would not be harmed if they got any closer to the fox.

Taylor, who had been caressing his etcher’s soft back, grumbled inwardly at this sight.

The whole purpose of bringing the girls here to the greenhouse was to separate a certain older boy from his Vonny.

However, that plan had gone down the drain when his elder brother had announced that he too would be joining them on their trip to meet the etchers.

Though Taylor had tried to dissuade him by reminding him that the other boys his age were waiting for his return, Topher had used the etcher as an excuse to accompany them.

The heir even explained that he was only playing the part of a good host as letting his guests get frightened by his etcher would not be good for his reputation.

After all, the same had taken place during the previous tea party held months ago so he did not wish to witness a repetition of the same incident this time as well.

The assertive tone Topher had used while announcing that he would join them had left Taylor with nothing else to say but nod in wordless agreement.

Though now, it seemed that the excuse his brother had used had been a good one as the young girls were indeed looking towards the owner of the red fox to seek confirmation.

Therefore, Taylor could only scoff inwardly and heighten his vigilance as it wasn’t just his elder brother who had accompanied them.

His brother’s best friend, the one whom Taylor wished to separate from Yvonne had also joined them on their trip to the greenhouse, ruining the secret plan that he had made earlier.

Damien, who had long since noticed the fierce glances he had been receiving from his best friend’s younger brother, felt irked as he had done nothing wrong but could only remain silent even though he was the one being wronged instead.

Standing next to him, Topher gave the girls a positive nod after sensing their curious eyes landing on him.

His silent action was sufficient to reveal that there was no reason for them to be frightened of his beast.

When Yvonne noticed that her assurances and cajoling had not been able to ease their worries but a simple nod from Topher had, she snorted before looking away as she would rather focus her attention on playing with the fox she had not met in a while.
