Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!

Chapter 148 - She Will Learn Soon Enough

Chapter 148 - She Will Learn Soon Enough

The arrogance and confidence in her voice made the young tutor roll his eyes as he shook his head at her.

The question which he had tossed at the little girl was yet to be answered when he threw another question at her.

"It is the etched\'s duty to protect its etcher from all harm and not just to expect everything from your etcher." He taught her the right way of thinking rather than believing that etchers had to do everything for their masters.

When Yvonne heard his explanation, she perceived that what this man had said had some meaning to it.

Turning around, she paid attention to the uneven path they had taken while patting Demon\'s head.

Demon had been happy to do the work for her but when he noticed how much attention she was paying to both the road and on him, he was overjoyed as he neighed to show it.

Desmo and Precious were pleased to see that this newly formed pair of etcher and etched already had such a close bond with each other.

Soon, they reached a clear path by the stream which they had seen earlier as well.

Glancing at his student, Desmo nodded to give her the signal which Yvonne understood in a single glance.

She commanded Demon to step ahead and he was happy to do as he was told.

Desmo glanced at the pair riding ahead and soon followed after them to ensure that they were alright.

Since this was their first class, he decided that he would let them have a little fun before beginning the proper training from tomorrow.

Thus Yvonne spent the first morning of the weekend with Demon as she rode through the woods, trying to live that fast life.

\'I might not have my fast cars but I\'m glad that I have my fast Demon!\' She chuckled as she rode ahead at full speed.

___

While Yvonne was riding on her horse along the paths that were hidden in the woods behind their mansion, there was someone else who was enjoying their ride.

A black carriage came speeding through the streets of the outskirts of the Capital city as it headed towards the northern part of the city.

Inside the carriage sat a young boy with golden shimmering hair which flitted with the wind entering the coach through the open window.

He had already endured a long journey and was glad that he would soon reach home.

The huge structure of the Rosenhyde Royal Palace which was visible from a distance and grew bigger with every mile they crossed made him smile as he knew that he was soon approaching his destination.

\'I\'m coming home, Brother.\' He muttered in his heart as he closed his eyes to take a short nap.

Draco Roschester, the young man who was on his way to meet his brother at the Royal Palace was ahead of his schedule as he had left for his destination earlier than what he had expected.

Thus, the King and the servants preparing to welcome the young prince were in for a very shocking surprise.

This was because they would soon realize that the person whom they had been expecting to arrive in the evening would reach their location before lunchtime.

___

Yvonne slurped the soup that had been placed before her at the table without caring for her etiquettes which made Rutherford frown.

"I am paying the tutor to teach you proper etiquettes and this is what you have learned?" He narrowed his eyes as he questioned her.

This loving father was willing to give his children everything they desired and dreamed for as long as they behaved appropriately and in a noble manner.

What Yvonne had just done was against his way of life and he was not hesitant to let her know about his disapproval.

\'I just drank my soup a little louder!\' Yvonne pouted as she looked at the man whose eyebrows were furrowed together.

The cute appearance of his daughter softened his harsh glare as he sighed in defeat.

"Vonna, no matter how much I hate it you will be married and sent to someone else\'s house in the future." He announced while massaging his forehead.

This was truly an infuriating topic to both father and child alike as Yvonne was glaring daggers at her father who had failed to notice it as his head was lowered.

\'I am five! What is the use of talking about something that will never happen even in the future!?\' She scowled and looked down when she noticed Rutherford looking up at her.

"So it is my duty to make sure that you are well prepared for when you have to be the Madam of someone else\'s household. The first is to mind your manners at the dinner table." He chided her while teaching her what she had done wrong.

\'I need to move away from this topic before I get triggered while thinking of that \'man\' who is supposed to be my husband.\' Yvonne decided that she had to do something to ensure her mental sanity stayed intact.

Her eyes strayed to the person who sat next to her and a brilliant idea popped up in her mind.

Oblivious to what would happen next, Raylene stayed silent while this pair of father and daughter butted heads with each other.

\'Stupid Ruthy!\' She scoffed at her husband who was only gaining the ire of their precious daughter.

"Papa is angry with Vonny, Mama!" Yvonne\'s aggrieved mutters were like music to her ears.

She moved her seat closer to her daughter and patted her back as she shot a disappointed glance at the man who had upset their daughter.

"She will learn soon enough, Ruthy. There is no need to yell at her. Right, Vonny?" She inquired while smiling at the little girl.

Rutherford was startled to see that his method of teaching their child had turned into a way for his wife to gain an advantage in her chance to get closer to Yvonne.

\'Their silly competition is helping me get out of the lecture so I do not mind it.\' The cunning little girl went back to her meal after getting the topic of the conversation away from her future.

Her class with Captain Desmo had ended a few hours ago and she had sufficient time to take a nap before coming down for her lunch with her parents.

She had expected her father to be curious about her class with the Captain, however, Rutherford was more bothered about the soup being slurped too loud.

\'This man has messed up priorities.\' She inferred and then went back to eating but this time without making any noises to avoid another lecture from him.

Rutherford watched her eat in silence and smiled yet soon felt like smacking himself for what he had done.

\'I missed the perfect opportunity to ask how her class went!\' He cursed his luck and the fact that he had been distracted from asking what he truly wished to know more about.

As he watched her eat cheerfully, he decided to let her finish her meal in peace and speak to her after they were done.
