Reincarnated In A Shitty Love Game

Chapter 6

“The Fuck. He tweeted that he going to die. Where is eth old-fashioned letter, huh?” Feng Mei whispered in distaste. Social media portals....they were not her forte. She could not comprehend why those kids put their head inside a small technological box all day.

“Miss Feng mind your words,” the officer warned with a glare.

“this still does not explain how I killed him. This could be even written when he was drunk. Where is the credibility?” she argued firmly.

The officer sighed ad held his forehead. “Miss Feng, Ling died because he was trapped inside your office lavatory for three days,”

“What the hell! He died of starvation! Oh.....he tweeted inside my office.” She saw the photo attached to the tweet. Ling was sitting next to a lavatory and crying.

‘Wait a moment,’ Feng held her trembling hands so as not to stomp on the offensive device in her hand. “IF....he had TWEETED that he was trapped he would have been saved long back. What is going on in these young people’s minds nowadays? they see a bear, instead of running they read a bed-time story for it. This is..... Totally incomprehensible,”

.....

“Miss Feng. How dare you disrespect the dead?”

“but-but I am not. I am stating the logical truth,” Feng mei whispered with her eyes wide open.

“That’s it. You are under arrest for the murder of Mister Ling,” the officer shouted and handcuffed her hands.

“What! That’s against the rule,” She shouted, but all her words were to deaf ears.

She was dragged into a dingy cell and locked inside. “Officer, please listen to me. I am not the reason for his death,”

“Yes, you are. You are one who ordered the guard to lock up the office,” the police whispered in a wooden voice and walked away.

Feng Mei sat down holding the cells’ railing. “He died because I locked him in. That’s....not logical., something is wrong,” she whispered to herself.

Picking herself up and she sat on the nearby stool that was provided. ‘All of this seemed like a scheme. Who?.....is it Mrs. Feng? Most probably, I’m not sure if Eliot’s involved, but they might have pulled the rug from under my feet. God, I hate that poisonous woman,’ she held her aching forehead.

A soft sound of heels clicked onto the linoleum floor of the prison room. “Meimei, I never expected you were capable of this atrocious behaviour.” A soft voice whispered with a disappointed tone.

Feng raised her head and glared at her. ” ‘Mother’ was it you?”

“What are you talking about, dear? I have nothing to do with this.” She said with a cheerful laughter.

Feng Mei sat up and held her chin. “You think you have achieved something spectacular, do you?” she slammed onto the cell’s railing and gripped onto her delicate hand. “When is get out of here I will make sure to take GOOD care of you,” she said with a smile sweet as honey.

Mrs. Feng trembled. She pulled her hands out of her grip and wiped it with her kerchief. “Trash, you are where you belong. Don’t think of ever coming out,” she said and walked away with her heels clicking.

Feng Mei took a deep breath to calm her turbulent heart. “This white lotus. I should have thrown her out the curb the moment my father entered six feet under,” she said to herself.

That evening she had another visitor. It was the face she did not ever want to see, Eliot. “I have applied for your bail. Come with me,” he whispered.

Silently Feng followed after him. “How?”

“I have friends,” he said and without a word he led her to his car.

After getting in, he handed a phone. “This was the reason I was able to get bail,” he whispered.

It was the post by Mister Ling. There were a lot of comments cussing her about a witch, cussing her to go die in a ditch. “What the hell! There are so many black powders online,” she whispered with a grimace.

“Don’t worry, I will take care of you,” Eliot said with a sideward glance.

Feng gazed at him without any expression. ‘Looks like he is not involved at all.’

“Feng, I want to tell you something. I-I.....” he stuttered.

On hind sight she saw a blinding light speeding their way. “Watch out,” she pulled the steering wheel.

But the vehicle crashed into them.
