Chapter 1111 Great Wilderness Ding

Chapter 1111 Great Wilderness Ding

Chen Feng was determined to obtain the black iron plate. Even if this person was a Heavenly Immortal, it would not make a difference. That said, Chen Feng’s actions caused a look of shock to appear on the faces of the surrounding cultivators.

All of them could not believe it. A loose cultivator at the True Immortal stage actually dared to offend Sword Premier Heavensura.

This fellow is a goner.

Sword Premier Heavensura himself was feeling somewhat shocked. In truth, he was not particularly desirous of the iron plate. He had only chosen to purchase this item – something that had existed here for a long time – due to some minor reason. Even so, seeing someone buy up something that he was eyeing had still left him feeling somewhat displeased.

“You’re just a minor True Immortal. The iron plate is useless for you. The way I see it, you should sell it to me.” Sword Premier Heavensura was someone with quite the status, after all. Not only did he not become furious, he instead wanted to win the other party over with a display of virtue.

“Is this iron plate useful to you?” Chen Feng asked.

“There is no need for you to worry about that.” Seeing Chen Feng not answer his question, Sword Premier Heavensura grew somewhat infuriated. If this was a cultivator on the same level as him, he would have let it slide. But this minor True Immortal dared to put on a façade of calmness while facing him? Sword Premier Heavensura was not some good Samaritan to begin with. And so, he instantly attacked Chen Feng.

“Fights are not allowed in the Great Contribution Hall. Heavensura, have you already forgotten the rules of our sect?” Suddenly, an unassuming old man spoke up.

“Yes. Disciple was too impetuous.” Surprisingly, Sword Premier Heavensura, who had always put on a display of arrogance, behaved himself.

So, this old man is a Heavenly Immortal. Chen Feng sensed the old man’s gaze falling upon him, but he was not worried that the old man would be able to find out anything.

After leaving the Great Contribution Hall, Chen Feng swiftly returned to his grotto-mansion. The iron plate was on his mind. What he needed to do the most right now was to return to his grotto-mansion and figure out what the iron plate was.

Before Chen Feng could enter his grotto-mansion, however, Sword Premier Heavensura caught up to him. In response, Chen Feng smiled. With a thought, his soul power emerged to make its way through mountains and rivers to enter another grotto-mansion located 5,000 kilometres away. A True Immortal was cultivating inside this grotto-mansion. He was an heir disciple of the Six Daos Sword Faction. Entering this True Immortal’s sea of wisdom, Chen Feng’s soul power roamed about for a moment before returning, bringing with it some information regarding Sword Premier Heavensura.

This fellow managed to reach the half-step Heavenly Immortal stage after cultivating for two million years. He cultivated the Heavenly Sword and Asura Sword, something of a rare talent. By honing himself for a while longer, he should have no issues cultivating up to the Heavenly Immortal stage. Chen Feng nodded.

“Where did you come from, loose cultivator?” Sword Premier Heavensura asked, a frown on his face.

“I’m from the Mountains and Rivers Domain. I have already bought the iron plate. Senior brother, pleased don’t hinder me,” Chen Feng said smilingly.

“Hinder?” Sword Premier Heavensura’s face turned somewhat ugly to behold.

“Fine! If I attack here, others will definitely criticise me. I will let you off this time. However, that attitude of yours will surely cause troubles for you in the future.” Nodding, Sword Premier Heavensura then left.

Smiling, Chen Feng then walked into his grotto-mansion. Layer after layer of restrictive arrays kept surging around before returning to a state of tranquillity.

In order to avoid getting disturbed, Chen Feng had set up these restrictive arrays. Not even a starter-level Heavenly Immortal would be able to break through the restrictive arrays.

“I want to see just what this is!” Chen Feng placed the black iron plate in front of him. His eyes then turned black and his gaze, akin to pillars of light, fell upon the surface of the black iron plate. Chen Feng had checked it before in the Great Contribution Hall in the past. However, back then, he did not push his eye technique to its limits. This time, his gaze seemingly gained tangibility, capable of even piercing a hole through a low-grade Immortal artifact.

Once again, though, Chen Feng was left disappointed. While he was able to clearly sense something extraordinary about the iron plate, he was simply incapable of breaking through the layer of mysterious power on its surface.

If there is a power left inside, it means that this iron plate is not a useless piece of item. Chen Feng did not let it get to him. He did not stop his eye technique. Instead, wisps of fire emerged to combine with his eye technique. Those were from his soul flame. Chen Feng was gradually increasing the amount of power he poured into this. The more effort he required to break through the iron plate’s defence, the more excited he became. It simply proved how extraordinary the iron plate was.

But even after pushing his power to its limits, Chen Feng was still incapable of breaking through. Just as he was about to give up, the Longevity Tower’s power also joined in.

With this, a change finally happened to the black iron plate. Like a needle, the attack broke a small hole through the mysterious power covering the iron plate’s surface. Following that, Chen Feng’s divine sense rushed in like a tidal wave.

Chaos and desolation. The quaint atmosphere there gave Chen Feng a suffocating feeling.

Next, a circular and gigantic ding emerged from the boundless chaos and an incomparable aura of ferocious hegemony spread out. Before Chen Feng could get a good look at the gigantic ding, a banging sound rang out and his divine sense was shattered apart.

It was as though chaos lightning had erupted there and Chen Feng’s entire sea of wisdom fell into a state of turmoil. Various powers clashed, lightning flashed and thunder rumbled akin to the end of days. His sea of wisdom became like an overloaded reservoir and water spilled out.

It was then that Chen Feng’s soul flame shone like a candlelight. Everywhere its light went, the chaos would subside.

Finally, Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom calmed down and the chaotic powers were pacified. Even so, Chen Feng was still feeling somewhat fearful. What happened earlier was simply too dangerous. If it weren’t for the fact that his soul flame had reached the Longevity Flame realm, mixed with some Yin Yang Flame, that attack could have obliterated him, both in body and soul. Even in the best-case scenario, he would end up as a blithering idiot.

Calculating, he found that he had actually used up to one month to pacify his sea of wisdom earlier. He could not even imagine what would happen if someone had come to trouble him during that time.

After considering all that, Chen Feng waved his hand and both the Bedazzling Star Map and Primary Spirit Diagram of First Origin flew out at the same time to reinforce the restrictive arrays he set up for his grotto-mansion. Even the Divine Sun Needle was lying in ambush. Should anyone succeed in breaking through his restrictive arrays, this Divine Sun Needle would be able to land a sneak attack on that person.

What level is this magic treasure at? How could it possess such power? Additionally, the silhouette of the ding feels somewhat familiar. There was a confused look on Chen Feng’s eyes. He had only managed to imprint a rough outline of the ding into his mind. And yet, even thinking about it caused his heart to feel horrified.

“Sigh, Longevity Tower! Just look here. This magic treasure has been broken down to only a fragment. And yet, it still possesses such power. You, on the other hand, sure had it rough. Not even a smidge of power was left back then.” Chen Feng chuckled.

“What do you know?!” Tower suddenly flew into a fit of rage.

“The war back then is an extremely rare occurrence. I had to exhaust pretty much all of my powers for the war. In the end, I even had to protect you while we drifted in space for a million years. Besides, I do still have some of my powers stored up inside my body. I just can’t access it right now.”

“In other words, you know the origins of this gigantic ding. Tell me.” Chen Feng smiled. Listening to Tower’s tone, Chen Feng was certain that Tower knew.

“The Great Wilderness Ding,” Tower said nonchalantly.

“The Great Wilderness Ding? Now I remember. It was a high-grade Divine artifact. From what I’ve heard, back then, it attempted to advance to the top-grade Divine tier only to fail. It was a legendary and peerless Divine artifact!” Chen Feng was astounded.

“Divine artifact, yes. Peerless, nay,” Tower said with a displeased tone.

“If that’s the case, you can devour this iron plate and increase your power by a notch!” Chen Feng’s eyes lit up.

“Not appropriate. You should keep it. You might be able to find the other fragments in the future. Are you not interested in seeing the Great Wilderness Ding advance to the top-grade Divine tier?” Tower enticed Chen Feng.

“You make it sound so simple.” For Chen Feng, he simply thought of that as a joke.

“Did you not notice that your cultivation base has increased?” Tower suddenly said.

Taken aback, Chen Feng quickly focused and every part of his body became clear to him. Next, a look of delight appeared on his face.

“My cultivation base has actually improved! Additionally, my soul power has also become more concise. Could this be due to my soul power falling apart earlier?” Chen Feng exclaimed.

“Collapsing the soul and reforming it. With this process, large amounts of impurities have been refined out. Additionally, there are still many powers that you have yet to refine hidden inside your body. You hit the jackpot this time. That earlier is comparable to a thousand years of bitter cultivation.”

“To think that something like this could happen. Let me try it again!” After saying that, Chen Feng wanted to repeat the process only to be stopped by Tower.

“Going too far is not a good thing. This is not something that you should do often.”

“That’s true. This is a treasure. I’ll keep it first. Only, I wonder how many fragments of the Great Wilderness Ding there are? Finding them all is like finding a needle in an ocean. No, like finding a needle amongst the starry space,” Chen Feng said happily. No matter how you cut it, he had gotten a great harvest this time. Compared to this, 10 million contribution points was nothing.

“Unexpectedly, the Six Daos Sword Faction actually has some good items. Looks like there is a need to go look around the Great Contribution Hall again.” Chen Feng made his way out of his grotto-mansion. During this time, no one came to disturb him. It was a peaceful time of cultivation and the occasional pill concoction. It was the life that Chen Feng wanted. Rather, Chen Feng thought to himself that he could come to like this Six Daos Sword Faction.

The act of cultivation was a thing with no concept of time. And so, Chen Feng spent over 300 years in the Six Daos Sword Faction. During that time, Chen Feng had entered the iron plate several more times. Every single time, with the appearance of the Great Wilderness Ding, his soul would undergo a collapse. However, as time passed, Chen Feng’s cultivation base gradually grew and his soul was able to endure longer and longer. And yet, he was still incapable of getting a good look at the Great Wilderness Ding.

Additionally, Chen Feng sensed that the time had come for him to undergo his tribulation again. Only, this was the Immortal Plane. The immortal dao laws here were very strong. Thus, Chen Feng was able to suppress his strength to its very limits.

Several of the pseudo-Divine artifacts on him, such as the Divine Sun Needle, had also reached the threshold for advancing to the Divine tier. While Chen Feng could allow his other Immortal artifacts to undergo tribulation, these pseudo-Divine artifacts were a different matter. Chen Feng planned to find a remote spot for that, otherwise their tribulations would end up attracting others.

Leaving his grotto-mansion, Chen Feng had planned on getting some other materials as well. During the past hundred years spent in cultivation, Chen Feng had gained some new knowledge regarding pill concoction and artifact forging. And while there was a high number of spiritual herbs inside the Longevity Tower, when compared to the Immortal Plane, that number was nothing.

Unexpectedly, Chen Feng had only just stepped out when an order arrived from the sect. He was tasked to follow a group of cultivators out on a mission. When Chen Feng read the contents of the mission, his face turned somewhat ugly to behold.
