Chapter 339: Are you trying to seduce me?
Having walked only from the Main Palace to the Jade Pavilion, and after leaving the Jade Pavilion, Zheng Liang suggested taking a carriage to the Dragon Pavilion. She couldn\'t believe that just walking that distance had left her so tired and exhausted. In her past life, she used to jog every morning for around an hour, followed by a cardio and strength training session.
Even though her sports didn\'t require this much physical training, among her peers, she was the only one who followed a strict and strenuous workout routine. It was because she believed that to control the brain and concentrate well, one needs to train their body physically as well, to make oneself strong - physically and mentally.
However, she cannot believe that this little walking could make her feet ache and make her weak. It has been almost a year since she came to this world, and her body is still the same, weak and fragile. Looks like she has been enjoying her life so much that her frail body remains unchanged.
Yang Ning felt guilty for her laziness, realizing that she had been stuck inside the study room, focusing only on work and neglecting her body without planning how to strengthen it. Lost in deep thought and shaking her dangling legs from the bed, Zheng Liang, sitting at the table on the chair, smiled as he observed his wife lying on the bed with her legs hanging off the edge, resting on her back.
Earlier, after leaving the Jade Pavilion, he noticed his wife\'s heavy steps, slowed pace, and how she held onto him for support. He chuckled at his pampered wife, realizing that, unlike him, she wasn\'t accustomed to walking long distances. That\'s why he suggested taking a carriage back to the Dragon Pavilion.
However, she rejected the idea because her self-pride seemed more important to her than her actual weak health constitution. Despite being able to play archery and hit bullseye after bullseye for an hour, when it came to walking, her body seemed to shut down.
In the end, he had to convince her that the carriage was for him because he was tired and didn\'t want to walk anymore. Otherwise, Yang Ning would have insisted on walking back to the Dragon Pavilion, even if she had to crawl her way there.
While watching his wife resting on the bed, Zheng Liang was reminded of her smiling and initiating conversations with Zheng Xiang earlier during lunch. He pursed his lips upon remembering her bright smile and gleaming eyes.
She seemed genuinely happy to meet him, and her joy stirred a hint of jealousy within him. Was meeting Zheng Xiang such a delightful moment for her? He couldn\'t recall her being this happy when she first met him. He frowned and pouted, pondering over the situation.
Zheng Liang stood up from the chair and walked towards the bed, sitting next to her where she was lying, her legs dangling down the edge. He stared at Yang Ning and asked with a serious tone, "Now that you\'ve met him, how do you feel about it?" His eyes were fixated on her face, observing her expressions.
"Ah?" Yang Ning, lost in thought and staring at the ceiling, was surprised to hear his question. She looked at him for a moment before understanding what he meant. She sat up on the bed, holding onto his arm for support, and said, "Meeting your brother? I am so happy to meet him."
"In terms of appearance, he shares a striking resemblance to you—handsome, carrying that same composed expression I first encountered in you. His eyes, especially, bear an uncanny similarity to yours, reflecting that captivating intensity. It\'s quite surprising to see how he has grown into such a handsome young man." She conveyed her observation with a smile gracing her lips.
When Yang Ning saw Zheng Xiang for the first time earlier in the dining room, she was left speechless. Just like the description from the novel, he possessed ethereal good looks. His jawline was sharp, his brown eyes were captivating, and his body was well-built. Despite wearing simple clothes, it was evident that he concealed a perfectly muscled physique underneath.
Being the second male lead, he couldn\'t be inferior to the male lead in terms of good looks.
While Yang Ning was admiring and smiling, praising Zheng Xiang\'s good looks as the second male lead from the novel, a character for her, Zheng Liang\'s eyes darkened to see his wife complimenting his brother and comparing his looks to him. He pursed his lips and grabbed her neck, pulling her closer.
Yang Ning was startled by his sudden action and the close proximity between the two. But she could see the coldness and complicated look in his eyes. While she was still confused about his reaction, he spoke in a low and raspy voice, " Yang Ning, I won\'t allow you to look at other men and compliment them for their looks. You\'re only allowed to look at me and touch me all you want.
Do you get it?" He asked coldly, as if intimidating her with his good looks.
Yang Ning, perplexed by his reactions, let her lips curl into a provocative smirk as she observed him succumbing to jealousy. A low chuckle escaped her before she spoke in a sultry voice, leaning closer to him, "Is that how the Crown Prince expresses jealousy, hmm?
Are you trying to threaten me, or ...." Her finger traced a tempting path from his chest down to his lower abdomen, maintaining an intense gaze, and she whispered, "perhaps trying to seduce me?"
Zheng Liang gulped nervously, captivated by his wife\'s response to his warning. Her mischievous finger explored from his chest to his lower abdomen, halting at a daringly close distance from his manhood, causing his body to stiffen at her audacious touch. His neck muscles tightened as he felt his body respond to her seductive gaze and words.
"Yang Ning, it was you who provoked me this time," he blurted out before sealing her lips with his, plunging into a fervent and passionate kiss.
