The Strongest Conquest System

Chapter 276: Stranger Danger!!

"What are you doing in our way, dude!? She is our prey, so don\'t think you can take her away from us!" The bearkin growled.

He had already approached the silver foxkin, who was obstructing his path to the white-haired girl.

"Yeah, you stupid fox! Are you looking to pick a fight!?"

The wolfkin made a follow-up as he tagged right along with the bearkin.

\'Are these idiots looking to die?\'

Azmond didn\'t even bother with them as he lightly tapped his katana.

"Wha-!?" "Help m-!!"

They hollered out as Emu had already expanded out into a larger form before beginning to swallow them up.

Nonetheless, such pleas did nothing to stop the black and gold slime from acquiring a free meal.

Chomp! Chomp!

The ones who inflicted such damage on a young girl, only around 13 years old, were immediately made into snacks for Emu.

"Now that they\'re out of the way, what say we go and take this girl to a nearby tavern?" Azmond asked.

|Mhmm| Boundless murmured.

She looked at the state of the girl being healed by him as her heart cracked a little.

|\'Why would two grown men be so cruel to a helpless 13-year-old girl? What could make them do something so heinous??\'| She questioned with a saddened expression.

Boundless seemed to forget about the true nature of all things. People were cruel; that stood true for every race and every species in existence. No matter where you went or where you tried to escape, if you were not strong enough, then you were likely to be just another statistic.

...

There were probably an uncountable number of beings who had gone through the same things as the white-haired girl, and they were unlikely to have someone save them as Azmond had.

That was just the way things were in Asterion, in the world past Asterion, in the Heavens, in the Divine Realm, past the Divine Realm!

No matter where you went, It would always be that way, and Boundless was meant to be above it all! After all, she was the embodiment of the Boundless System!

She couldn\'t allow herself to get too caught up in the affairs of any living beings, for there might come a day where her compassion would lead to the deaths of both her and Azmond

The white-haired girl would be the only exception. complete neutrality from there on out...

Probably

*Bubble Bubble!* *Pop!*

The sound of boiling water echoed out in the white-haired girl\'s ears as she woke up with a cold sweat!

"Ha! Mother!" She screamed with a look of longing.

However, it didn\'t take long for her to realize that her mother was not around and that she was not yet dead.

"What? Where am I??" She questioned.

Her white eyes darted around the place she found herself in, and she immediately noticed the soft bed she found herself lying on, along with the sight of a kettle heating up over a hot stove.

"Is this a room?"

Her gaze turned to one of astonishment, as she couldn\'t remember the last time she had been in anything other than an abandoned dog shed.

However, her confused thoughts were soon interrupted by the kind voice of a man.

"You finally woke up? I thought you would stay asleep forever, haha~"

"!?"

The girl turned her head in the direction of the soft chuckle, only to see an otherworldly handsome man with long, raven black hair and deep blue eyes.

"Wow," she murmured.

She had never seen a person so good-looking in her entire life. Even her sister and father were nowhere near the level of this man in terms of appearance.

"Are you just going to keep staring at me? Or will you tell me your name?"

The man\'s gentle voice once more dripped into her small ears as she snapped out of her stupor, only to see the extraordinarily handsome man leaning over the bed she was on.

*Tap*

His hand touched her forehead as he gauged her temperature, just to make sure she didn\'t still have the terrible fever that had ailed her over the last few days.

"Wh-What!?" The girl freaked out before pushing the handsome man away.

A mildly embarrassed look emerged on her face, as she had never been that close to a man other than her father!

However, her thoughts contrasted greatly with her expression.

\'He smelt so good\'

She could still smell a little bit of his scent even after pushing him a few feet away, and she couldn\'t get enough of it.

\'Wait! No! You must snap out of it, Calista! You still don\'t know who this man is or why he\'s in a room with you!\'

Calista shook her head before staring down the overly handsome and sweet-smelling man. Her gaze morphed into one of apprehension, as she was prepared to unleash her spells if necessary!

She may not have been very strong, but she still had the capabilities to take on someone in the Foundation Establishment Realm!

Which was something that would be considered quite exceptional for someone her age.

At least it would be if not for the existence of Azmond...

*Crackle!*

A murky gray energy started to build up in a hand Calista hid behind her back, as she was just waiting for the strange man to make a suspicious move.

"Oh?" Azmond mused.

He saw the \'covert\' buildup of gray energy and couldn\'t help but find it quite amusing.

"What\'s so funny, strange, good-smelling man!?"

Calista\'s question came out with a small puff of her cheeks, as she assumed the human man was laughing at her power.

Wait

"Human!?" She blurted out with a frightened expression.

Calista\'s small frame practically leaped backwards into a wall, as she couldn\'t believe that she had been talking to a human!!

\'He\'s going to eat me, isn\'t he!? Big- Sis told me that all humans liked to eat monsters in one gulp!!\'
