Chapter 1192 Doing What Should\'ve Been Done
Other than that, with him establishing a partnership with Juno, he wanted to improve his relationship with the man to a certain extent. After all, the man in front of him would be the one managing his shop while he was away.
If anything, having another person take care of shop while he was away was the main reason why he accepted Juno\'s request of learning from him.
Though he was more than certain that the players came to his shop in order to forge connections with him, having his shop still be open without him being there added a bit of grandeur to his identity.
\'Killing two birds with one stone, if I do say so myself,\' thought Valyr as he inwardly chuckled at the conclusion he came up with earlier.
Briefly shaking his head after that, Valyr then led Juno into his shop, thinking that the best way to show his sincerity in their partnership was to fulfill his side of the bargain.
With that, it went without saying that the two of them headed directly to the workshop portion of the building, the layout of which left Juno at a slight loss for words.
Looking at the various forging tools Valyr used whenever he forged an item, Juno felt a slight greed to grab the items for himself after realizing they were of a far higher quality than the tools he used in his smithy.
Of course, the man knowingly restrained himself, reminding himself that the man he was learning from was someone who\'d reached a higher realm of blacksmithing than him.
And thus, with an eager spirit and an open mind, the man spent the next few hours with Valyr, attentively listening to everything the latter had to say about the world of blacksmithing.
Naturally, as blacksmithing was mostly practical and empirical in nature, Valyr had him forge a couple of items here and there to gauge how far he was in the path of blacksmithing.
Though, because of that, Juno was eventually made to realize that although he had the skills and knowhow of the blacksmith, his foundation as a blacksmith was a bit lacking in comparison.
Deciding to focus on shoring up the man\'s weaknesses, Valyr earnestly taught Juno all he\'d learned from blacksmithing in both of his lives, even going so far as to forge a new anvil and forging hammer for the man.
Although he had done that in order to make Juno realize that he still had a long way to go if he wanted to reach the level of blacksmithing Valyr had achieved, Valyr also did it to show the man areas where he could readily improve.
Fortunately for Valyr, Juno was more than open to listen to all suggestions he had, allowing the man to improve his forging skills to a level that allowed him to stand above normal village blacksmiths.
Then again, compared to the blacksmiths he\'d interacted with in the towns and cities, Valyr felt that Juno was still a fair distance away from reaching their level.
Nevertheless, considering the amount of time he\'d spent teaching Juno the foundations of blacksmithing, the young man knew that it was only a matter of time before the man would reach that level on his own.
In fact, he wouldn\'t be surprised if the man went beyond that and became a renowned blacksmith himself.
\'…That would definitely make Daffors Village all the more interesting.\'
By the time Valyr was done teaching Juno, it was already noon.
Seeing that he only had an hour or so left before he had to open the shop for the players once more, Valyr went to the restaurant with Juno to grab a quick bite, suggesting to the latter to manage the shop with him around.
Thankfully, Juno was amenable to the idea, feeling that it was only right to return the goodwill the young man had shown him thus far.
With that, for the next seven hours or so, both Juno and Valyr worked together to manage the massive influx of players that entered the latter\'s shop, slowly but surely raking up a profit that left Juno at a loss for words. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
At the same time, the number of items remaining in the shop began to dwindle the more players entered, causing Valyr to bitterly smile as he thought about the conversation he had with the last group of players from before.
\'I suppose they made use of the forum to its fullest.\'
Though he knew the current situation left him no choice but to spend some time forging equipment and concocting potions to replenish his stock, Valyr still felt satisfied when he found out he made double the profit he did just earlier.
After giving Juno his share of profit from the day, the two of them soon went on their separate ways, with Valyr heading to the village\'s inn for the night.
"Now that I think about it, I should\'ve made the building with a sleeping quarters in mind."
Pushing the thought that popped up in his mind at the back of his head, Valyr soon dozed off into the land of sleep, feeling all of the exhaustion he\'d built up over the past few days gradually disappear.
…
Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!
"…And I suppose that\'s enough to replenish stock for today." Finishing up the last piece of equipment he planned on selling for today, Valyr let out a faint sigh of relief as he looked at the man that was watching him work this whole time.
Slightly grinning, he then asked him, "I suppose you learned a thing or two from that?"
"I think?" Juno let out a slight chuckle, scratching his cheek in uncertainty. "Anyways, you said you\'re gonna head out again?"
"I am." Valyr nodded, storing all of his forging tools back into his spatial bracelet. "Which is why I made all of these items beforehand."
"Would it take you as long as before for you to come back?" asked Juno to make sure, considering that there was a possibility for the previous incident to happen again.
"It won\'t take me that long." Of course, Valyr assured him otherwise. "Best case scenario, I return within the day. Worst case scenario, I return the next day."
At those words, Juno could only let out a slight sigh. "You\'re really making use of this partnership to its full potential."
"As if you\'re not," replied Valyr with a chuckle, beginning to head out of the shop soon after. "Keep an eye on the shop for me, will you?"
"I will." Juno nodded.
"Safe travels.
