I Became the Henchman of a Novel’s Villain

Chapter 6 - The pleasure of bullying others with power is beyond your imagination!

Even though Li Tai knew that Li Yonggang’s actions were reckless and would lead to a huge problem, Li Yonggang was still his son after all. Having his son bow and scrape to apologize to a subordinate of his? How was that possible?!

So, Li Tai was testing him. If Bai Zhou had calmly accepted Li Yonggang’s gratitude while sitting in the chair, the next person to walk out of the darkness would not have been Li Yonggang!

That’s why Bai Zhou did what he did.

He also noticed, as he helped Li Yonggang up, he saw a glance exchanged between Li Yonggang and his father, Li Tai.

“Hmph!” A cold snort came from Li Tai’s mouth.

Bai Zhou knew that this cold snort was half directed at Li Yonggang, and half directed at himself.

“You little brat! Next time you do something, use your brain more! If you’re unsure, you can consult with Bai Zhou. Alright! You both can leave now! Bai Zhou, you stay.”

You both!

When Bai Zhou heard this, he breathed a small sigh of relief. Sure enough, Li Yonggang nodded and turned to leave. After opening the door, four men in black suits followed him out!

These four men in black were Bai Zhou’s executioners!

Bai Zhou knew that with this, he could rely on the Li family even more solidly.  He naturally sat down in the chair opposite Li Tai.

Li Tai casually pointed to the table and said: “Keep this knife. You might find it useful in the future.”

“Hmm?” Hearing this, Bai Zhou raised an eyebrow slightly, a flicker of light that no one else noticed flashed in his eyes.

He was familiar with the plot of the entire novel.

He knew very well, this knife was a symbol of Li Tai’s status! With this knife, on the stage of the entire Magic City, it meant: “You are one of Li Tai’s people!”

This could be considered a lower-grade version of the imperial sword of authority!

Bai Zhou hadn’t expected Li Tai to give him this knife.

But after thinking carefully, it made sense.

Bai Zhou had indeed saved Li Yonggang this time.

Moreover, he had helped the Li family avoid trouble and the chance of being caught by others!

Although the matter would have been resolved without Bai Zhou, the Li family would have had to spend considerable financial and human resources.

Li Tai then pulled out a car key from the drawer, pushed it in front of Bai Zhou, and said: “Take this car. If anything comes up, I want you to come to me immediately.”

“Understood, boss.”

Without any hesitation, Bai Zhou took the car key and put it in his pocket.

A Mercedes-Benz S600L.

A car worth one to two million, which was something that Bai Zhou couldn’t even dream of touching in both his previous and current life. But for someone with Li Tai’s wealth, this was merely a drop in the ocean.

Now that he had become part of the “car-owning class,” Bai Zhou couldn’t help but feel a little excited. However, Bai Zhou knew that in this world of novels, even if he was given another S600L, it wouldn’t be as valuable as the dagger stuck in the table!

After a few more instructions, Li Tai let Bai Zhou leave with the dagger.

As soon as he turned the corner after leaving the study, he ran into a man in a black suit, with a fierce look on his face.

Bai Zhou recognized this man—it was Yu Biao, Li Yonggang’s personal bodyguard and Li Tai’s top enforcer. Because of his status, Yu Biao was used to swaggering around among the lower and middle ranks of the Li family’s subordinates.

And today was no exception.

Yu Biao, frowning, took arrogant strides and blocked Bai Zhou’s path.

In a deep voice, he said: “You’re Bai Zhou, right? The young master …”

His words stopped abruptly.

Because he noticed, Bai Zhou was playing with a shiny dagger in his hand.

And this dagger was Li Tai’s …

Suddenly!

Yu Biao’s arms, which were hanging by his sides, crossed in front of his abdomen.

Then he slightly lowered his head and said: “Brother Zhou, Young Master Li is waiting for you in the side hall.”

This 180-degree change in attitude happened within just a few seconds!

With a faint smile on his lips, Bai Zhou raised his hand, gently patted Yu Biao’s shoulder, and said: “In the future, don’t walk around so aggressively. It makes it obvious to outsiders that you’re up to no good.”

Hearing Bai Zhou’s words, Yu Biao’s eye twitched slightly.

But he held back and even nodded, saying: “Brother Zhou, you’re right to teach me.”

Bai Zhou left without looking back, but the smile in his eyes was undeniable!

Who was Yu Biao? The top enforcer! Every day, he flaunted his strength and the fact that he was Li Yonggang’s personal bodyguard!

Even before, Bai Zhou had to call him “Brother Biao” when he saw him!

As if he were the boss under Li Yonggang! But now? How about now? He just got called out to his face as “not a good guy,” and did he dare have a temper?

Bai Zhou tucked the dagger away: “The feeling of bullying others with power is truly exhilarating!!”

Every day, reading novels and watching TV shows, seeing the lackeys bullying others, would make him grit his teeth in anger.

But now, it seems, the pleasure of bullying others with power is something you simply can’t imagine, you know?
