I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 895: Snow Drift

Chapter 895: Snow Drift

Chris noticed and said, "Uh-oh, that Staraptor is coming. I\'ll come find you later; you can\'t back out, okay?"

After saying this, he closed Yuga\'s window and swiftly ran away.

Yuga was left dumbfounded, wondering what he couldn\'t back out of.

I didn\'t even agree to anything yet!

But Chris had already disappeared, leaving Yuga shaking his head in resignation.

When Sheena and Kevin finished their tasks and returned to find Yuga, they told him that Chris was outside, being chased by a Staraptor.

Under their guidance, Yuga continued his tour of Michina for the rest of the day.

The next morning, Yuga woke up early and took his Absol and others for a walk.

Michina was a vast place with a temple on a towering mountain surrounded by forests. Apart from the temple, there were mainly fields and lush green meadows, making it an ideal place for a leisurely walk.

However, as Yuga and his Pokémon strolled, they came across Cynthia with her Roserade in a field, talking to a Sunflora and another Roserade.

It turned out that the Roserade and Sunflora is Cynthia\'s Roserade parents.

While Cynthia\'s Roserade was a rare blue potential Pokémon, her parents had somewhat ordinary potentials. Her mother, the Roserade, had a green potential, and her father, the Sunflora, had a yellow potential.

These two Pokémon didn\'t have their own trainers and were usually taken care of by the people of Michina to help with farming.

Just as Yuga was about to approach and greet Cynthia, he felt a strange movement in the Poké Ball he was holding, the one containing Chimecho.

Yuga was delighted and quickly released Chimecho from its Poké Ball.

Seeing that Chimecho was safe and sound, just as Nurse Joy had said, he happily exclaimed, "Chimecho, you\'re finally awake! Is there anything wrong with you?"

"Chimecho, Chimecho..."

Chimecho spun around in response, indicating that it was perfectly fine. Then, it floated in front of Yuga and nuzzled his cheek with its small face.

Yuga gently stroked Chimecho\'s long ribbons and said with a hint of helplessness, "You\'re already a Elite level Pokémon, and you\'re still this clingy."

Chimecho didn\'t restrain itself; instead, it became even more affectionate upon hearing this. However, it glanced at Rowlet, who was perched on Yuga\'s shoulder and still sound asleep, with a somewhat dissatisfied expression.

Since Rowlet was young, Yuga mostly kept it outside these days. Chimecho was naturally jealous, so its discontent with Rowlet having Yuga\'s attention to itself was understandable.

"Florges!"

Florges, who was nearby, extended a vine and pulled Chimecho off Yuga\'s body roughly, not allowing it to cling to Yuga like that.

Chimecho was unceremoniously pulled down, and although it was initially upset, it couldn\'t help but shrink its head when it saw Florges.

It self-comforted, thinking, "Never mind, I won\'t argue with it. It must be jealous of my good relationship with Yuga."

After Yuga was done being happy about Chimecho\'s recovery, he realized that Cynthia had already left. He had no choice but to continue his stroll with his Pokémon.

After the walk, as Yuga was recalling his Pokémon, he suddenly felt the temperature dropping rapidly, and white frost had already formed on the grass and leaves on the ground.

What\'s going on?

Just as Yuga was puzzled, the sky suddenly started snowing heavily.

Michina had a year-round mild climate, and it never snowed here. This made Yuga find it quite strange.

However, he soon understood the reason because right in front of him appeared a Snorunt and a Glalie.

Even though Michina was close to the Snowpoint of Mount Coronet, Pokémon like Snorunt and Glalie, which were part of the Ice type, were extremely rare here.

The warm climate of Michina wasn\'t suitable for them at all.

Before Yuga could figure out the reason, the Glalie and Snorunt immediately noticed him and launched an attack using Icy Wind.

Rowlet, upon seeing this, shook its head and quickly flew off Yuga\'s shoulder. It used its Leafage move to block the attacks from the two Pokémon.

However, due to Rowlet\'s young age and lower level, facing the Ice type Glalie, which was more than forty levels higher, it struggled. Yuga quickly released his Absol to assist.

Absol\'s two Psycho Cut were swung, causing Glalie and Snorunt to fall to the ground.

However, even as Glalie and Snorunt fell, the snowfall in the sky didn\'t diminish; instead, it seemed to be increasing.

This... is it Hail?

Yuga looked up at the gloomy sky and realized that if this was caused by Ice type Pokémon\'s Hail move, then either it was a group of Pokémon using it, or a single powerful one.

As if confirming his thoughts, Chris\'s voice rang out from nearby, "Hey, Yuga! You\'re here! The Ice type Pokémon from the Mount Coronet have somehow come down and are causing havoc in Michina!"

Due to the snowfall blocking their view, Chris only noticed Yuga when he got closer. He had a fiery Infernape with him.

As soon as Chris finished speaking, his Infernape shot a Flamethrower into the sky, and Delibird plummeted down, smoking.

Yuga asked, "Are there many Ice type Pokémon coming down?"

Yuga noticed that in just a short while, he and Chris were surrounded by several Ice type Pokémon, and Absol\'s Dark Pulse knocked them down one by one.

Chris replied angrily, "There are plenty of them! These nasty Pokémon are ruining my family\'s crops with this snow! How will they compensate me?"

Yuga said, "Let\'s go back and see."

Chris nodded, and together with Yuga, they returned to the residential area. Here, there were even more Ice type Pokémon, and their strength seemed greater.

When Yuga and Chris arrived, Sheena and Kevin were leading a group of young people in defending against the Ice type Pokémon.

None of the elders were present.

Kevin, seeing that Yuga had returned safely, breathed a sigh of relief. After instructing his Luxray to knock down a Glalie, he ran over to Yuga and said, "It\'s great that you\'re okay. We never expected something like this to happen so suddenly. We haven\'t hosted you properly."

Yuga shook his head and asked, "Do you know why these Ice type Pokémon have come down?"

Kevin frowned and replied, "Sheena has already tried to communicate with them. They claim they were driven down from Mount Coronet\'s peak, but they are unwilling to engage in deeper conversation."

"Driven down from Mount Coronet?" Yuga glanced at the intensifying snowfall and couldn\'t understand who would do such a thing.

Mount Coronet was vast, filled with countless high level Pokémon, and these Ice type Pokémon didn\'t seem to be causing any harm to anyone.

Moreover, the fact that the snowfall was increasing indicated that a powerful Ice type Pokémon was likely behind it, as changing weather on such a large scale couldn\'t be accomplished by ordinary Pokémon.

Although the scope and scale of this hailstorm weren\'t as significant as the Rain Dance that Yuga witnessed Melotic using earlier, it was still not an easy feat to create and maintain.

Not far away, Sheena was still attempting to communicate with the Ice type Pokémon, alongside several awakened tribe members who possessed the Power of True Heart.

However, their efforts seemed to have limited impact as the Ice type Pokémon became increasingly resistant to communication. These young individuals, who had awakened their Power of True Heart, were not exceptionally strong, and trying to communicate with so many Ice type Pokémon simultaneously was proving to be a daunting task. They were sweating profusely, including Sheena, who was the most powerful among them.

By Sheena\'s side was a powerful Lopunny, which kicked back any Ice type Pokémon that tried to attack, ensuring Sheena\'s safety during the communication attempts.

The Power of True Heart abilities of the Temple Clan and Yuga\'s unique abilities both allowed communication with Pokémon, but they functioned differently.

Yuga\'s special ability enabled him to communicate on a linguistic level. While he couldn\'t understand the language of Pokémon, he could comprehend the meaning behind their words.

On the other hand, The Power of True Heart was more forceful in establishing a mental connection between the user and the Pokémon, allowing for a deeper understanding of each other\'s thoughts and emotions, delving into the depths of both human and Pokémon minds.

However, if the Pokémon strongly resisted the emotional connection and communication, The Power of True Heart would be ineffective, as was the case with the Ice type Pokémon Sheena and her group were currently dealing with.
