Chapter 621: Gathering the Remains

Chapter 621: Gathering the Remains

Druddigon\'s collection also had some valuable items, not to mention Dragon Scales and Dragon Fangs. Yuga even found a King\'s Rock among the items.

The King\'s Rock didn\'t hold much significance for Yuga as he already had one for Absol. However, he contemplated whether he should raise a Slowking since there were currently two Slowpokes in the Ecopark.

After some consideration, Yuga decided to let the Slowpokes decide for themselves.

Wild Slowkings were quite rare, and even if they obtained a King\'s Rock, it wasn\'t clear if they would use it for evolution.

(Note: In this story, most Pokémon\'s evolution methods, including Slowking\'s, have been researched and documented.)

After sorting through various miscellaneous items, Dragonite\'s mother finally brought out an irregular stone, roughly the size of a small basin.

What surprised Yuga was the item embedded in the stone – a Mega Evolution Stone, specifically for Mega Salamence.

Yuga felt like he was unbelievably lucky. He had just traded away a Mega Metagross Evolution Stone and now encountered a Mega Salamence Evolution Stone.

According to Dragonite\'s mother, this stone was an heirloom passed down through many generations of Dragonite\'s father family, though its exact purpose was unknown.

Yes, Dragonite\'s father was a Salamence.

The main reason Dragonite\'s mother returned is to take this stone and to retrieve the Salamence\'s remains.

Under Dragonite\'s mother\'s guidance, Yuga and the group went to the back of the Dragonite\'s nest. There, they found a gently sloping hill with a massive set of Pokémon bones lying atop it.

In terms of volume, these bones were even larger than Dragonite\'s mother. The long tailbone, thick limbs, and wings hanging on the ground all testified to the fact that these bones once belonged to a Sky Dominator during his lifetime.

Dragonite\'s father, Salamence, was once the ruler of the Petalburg Forest. His strength far surpassed the Dragonite\'s mother, and he was not afraid even when encountering Zapdos, which used to live in the forest.

However, something happened later, and Salamence returned to the Petalburg Forest severely wounded. Not long after, he passed away.

During his final moments, Dragonite\'s mother asked him what had happened, but he remained silent. It was only after this incident that Dragonite\'s mother discovered she was pregnant.

Yuga believed that, given the aura emanating from these remains, this was definitely a Master level Pokémon.

Yuga had encountered his master\'s Pokémon before and knew what it felt like to face Master level Pokémon.

Although Salamence had already passed away, his imposing presence still lingered.

"Accept my condolences. Would it be alright if I help you gather his remains and bury them in the Ecopark?" Yuga offered to Dragonite\'s mother.

Dragonite\'s mother nodded in agreement.

In fact, Pokémon didn\'t have a tradition of burial, but she was aware of human customs and thought it was a nice gesture.

After Yuga collected Salamence\'s remains, Dragonite\'s mother extended her hand and offered Yuga a few items.

In the palm of her hand lay a crimson scale and four large, pure-white teeth, all of which came from her husband.

The crimson scale, as red as blood, was the scale beneath Salamence\'s lower jaw, extending upward to his neck. It was commonly referred to as the "Reverse Scale," and each Dragon-type Pokémon had only one.

The four pure white teeth were the largest upper and lower teeth from Mega Salamence\'s jaws, distinct from regular Dragon Fangs.

Yuga: "Are you really giving these to me this time?"

Dragonite\'s mother nodded.

Happily, Yuga received the items from Dragonite\'s mother and stored them in his system backpack.

The only item not entrusted to Yuga for safekeeping was the Salamence Mega Evolution Stone, which Dragonite\'s mother held carefully in her arms.

Yuga had no intention of using this Mega Evolution Stone; it was an heirloom of Dragonite\'s father, and he didn\'t want to interfere with it.

At this moment, Yuga couldn\'t help but feel a little regretful. Why didn\'t Dragonite\'s mother give birth to a Bagon back then, instead of a Dratini?

If Dragonite had been a Salamence now, it would have been completely appropriate for it to use its father\'s heirlooms!

However, regret was pointless, and Yuga thought Dragonite was just fine as it was now, making everyone envious.

Upon their return to the entrance of the Dragonite\'s nest, Druddigon was still lying there. Yuga turned to Dragonite\'s mother and asked, "Is it okay if I tame it now?"

Dragonite\'s mother nodded. She couldn\'t help but feel heartbroken whenever she saw that foolish Druddigon. It had occupied her home and stolen her food.

Yuga didn\'t capture Druddigon with his Poké Ball when it was unconscious. He waited for it to wake up.

Being an Elite level Pokémon, it wasn\'t wise to engage it in battle deep within the Petalburg Forest, as it would waste time and potentially cause trouble.

Once Druddigon woke up, it opened its eyes and saw Dragonite\'s mother\'s imposing figure. It immediately clutched its head, afraid that she would continue beating it. It appeared extremely submissive.

Yuga: "Druddigon, you\'ve been quite audacious!."

Upon hearing Yuga\'s voice, Druddigon raised its head and stared at him. It wondered where this two-legged creature came from, why did it have such a big attitude, and why was it speaking to it in this tone?

In the years it had lived in the Petalburg Forest, Druddigon had encountered many human explorers. They had always been scared stiff upon seeing it and dared not speak to it in this manner.

Druddigon glanced at Yuga, and Dragonite\'s mother gave it a stern look. This immediately made Druddigon tremble. It thought, "What\'s the relationship between this two-legged creature and that Dragonite Lady?"

Yuga: "Druddigon, not only did you take Dragonite\'s home, but you also stole her food. Now, we\'re going to ask you to leave and serve Dragonite as her errand boy to atone for your actions. How does that sound?"

Yuga pretended to act sternly.

Druddigon hesitated for a moment but ultimately nodded. What could it do now? It had already provoked this powerhouse, Dragonite\'s mother, and now even this two-legged creature seemed to be her lackey.

In Druddigon\'s eyes, Yuga, just like it, was another errand boy serving Dragonite\'s Lady.

Yuga: "Druddigon, I\'m going to capture you in this Poké Ball now. Don\'t resist."

After a moment of contemplation, Druddigon reluctantly nodded. What could it do? It had stirred up trouble with a big boss!

Taming Druddigon was quite successful. Yuga held the Poké Ball containing Druddigon and felt extremely satisfied.

In reality, Yuga could have subdued Druddigon through force as well. With Lapras, dealing with Druddigon wouldn\'t have been a problem. However, it wouldn\'t have been wise to engage in a battle deep within the Petalburg Forest. It would have been a waste of time and could have attracted unwanted attention.

After capturing Druddigon, Yuga once again mounted Dragonite and followed Dragonite\'s mother as they flew out of the forest.
