Chapter 563: The Volcano

Chapter 563: The Volcano

Under Yuga\'s watchful eye, another blue portal appeared in the main Ecopark, signaling the successful opening of the Volcano Sub-Ecopark.

Upon entering the Volcano Sub-Ecopark, Yuga immediately felt a wave of heat hit him.

The entrance of the Volcano Sub-Ecopark was situated right on the edge of a volcanic crater. As soon as Yuga stepped in, he saw a bubbling pool of fiery-red magma below.

The entire crater had a concave shape, but the terrain sloped gently downward, forming what appeared to be a magma pool, more like a magma lake, as it was quite extensive and filled with scorching magma.

However, there were many platforms protruding from the magma lake, likely designed for Fire-type Pokémon to rest or train on, as it would be challenging for them to stay in the scorching magma for long.

Due to the high temperatures in the vicinity, there were no plants around the volcano. It was barren, with nothing but red molten rock visible.

However, although the volcano itself was barren, the entire Volcano Sub-Ecopark was not.

Standing on the volcano and looking down, Yuga saw that half of the volcano\'s base was covered in dense forests, while the other half was a flat grassland, with a small lake at the junction of the two.

Yuga thought that the layout of the Volcano Sub-Ecopark had been carefully designed to accommodate Pokémon like Rapidash, which needed both the fiery volcano environment and a spacious area to roam.

On the other side of the forest was a grove of Tamato Berry trees, all laden with bright red Tamato Berries.

Tamato Berries were extremely spicy for humans, but they were a favorite of Fire-type Pokémon.

After thoroughly understanding the environment of the Volcano Sub-Ecopark, Yuga released his Volcarona from its Poké Ball.

"Volcarona, this will be your new home from now on," Yuga said to Volcarona.

Volcarona glanced around at its surroundings, then excitedly flapped its wings and hovered above the magma lake. It landed on the largest platform in the middle of the magma lake.

Volcarona lay on the platform, its three pairs of orange-red wings spreading out. Threads of flames were drawn from the magma lake by its wings, forming a fiery halo around Volcarona. The Pokémon had a content expression on its face.

"Volcarona, how do you like your new home?" Yuga called out to it.

Volcarona raised its head, nodding in excitement.

This place was indeed perfect for Fire-type Pokémon, with pure Fire energy permeating the air.

For Volcarona, which had lived in ruins for many years, this was the first time it had experienced such a comfortable place. It felt like it had wasted many years of its life.

After settling Volcarona, Yuga went to inform the Fire-type Pokémon about their move.

Under Yuga\'s guidance, the Fire-type Pokémon lined up and left the Grassland Sub-Ecopark. At the front were Ninetales and Houndoom, with their offspring, Vulpix and Houndour, following closely behind.

Originally, the two Flareon had no intention of moving to the Volcano Sub-Ecopark. Because they were the only two Flareon in the Eevee family, they preferred to stay with their friends in the Grassland Sub-Ecopark.

In the end, Yuga made the decision, and the entire Eevee family moved to the Volcano Sub-Ecopark.

While the other Eevee family members may not be suited for living on the volcano itself, they could reside in the forest at the base of the volcano.

The environment in that forest was not inferior to that of the Grassland Sub-Ecopark.

Although there is only one tomato berry tree, they don\'t usually eat tree berry. What they eat are the Pokéblocks prepared by the Miltank, so it does not affect their living there.

Yuga didn\'t have many Fire-type Pokémon, just Ninetales, Houndoom, and their respective offspring, Typhlosion and two Cyndaquil, Rapidash, and a few Ponyta. So, the relocation process was swift.

Upon arriving at their new home, the Fire-type Pokémon were excitedly frolicking around. They found the environment extremely comfortable.

Although Fire-type Pokémon were fine in a typical environment, a place saturated with Fire energy like a volcano was more suitable for them.

The League didn\'t raise Charmander in traditional Ecological Parks. One of the most famous examples was the Charicific Valley in the Johto region, the League\'s largest Charmander breeding base.

After reaching the edge of the magma lake, Ninetales and Houndoom lay down, closing their eyes and enjoying the warmth.

They extended their tails into the magma, gently swaying them, occasionally splashing drops of magma onto their fur, but they didn\'t mind at all.

Most of the Ninetales and Houndoom in Yuga\'s Ecological Park had the ability Flash Fire, so when the magma touched them, it not only didn\'t harm them but actually made them feel quite comfortable.

It had to be said that Pokémon were truly remarkable creatures.

Yuga also brought his Charizard into the Volcano Sub-Ecopark, and it followed suit, dipping its tail into the magma pool, imitating what Ninetales and Houndoom were doing.

However, it didn\'t take long for its face to turn bright red, and it quickly pulled its tail out of the magma.

Charizard clutched its burnt tail, looking at Yuga with a pitiful expression, tears welling up in its eyes once again.

Unlike Ninetales and Houndoom, Charizard didn\'t possess the Flash Fire ability. The flames on its tail weren\'t real fire but rather its life force, so regular flames could still cause it harm.

Yuga reminded Charizard that it could learn from Volcarona\'s method of absorbing flames, so it eagerly hopped over to the platform next to Volcarona.

Seeing Volcarona fan its wings to draw flames from the magma lake, Charizard imitated it by lying on the platform and flapping its wings continuously.

Unfortunately, it didn\'t manage to absorb the flames but instead caused the magma to splatter all over, earning disapproving glances from nearby Typhlosion and Cydaquil.

Seeing that Charizard was struggling with flame absorption, Volcarona voluntarily stepped in to teach it. Charizard listened attentively as Volcarona explained.

Charizard, being a Pokémon with Indigo potential, quickly grasped the correct method of harnessing the power of magma for training under Volcarona\'s guidance.

However, Yuga couldn\'t help but feel that Charizard\'s attempt to emulate Volcarona\'s method of using its wings to manipulate the flames was rather inefficient. He suggested that Charizard try using its own tail.

Charizard took the advice and gently waved its tail on the surface of the magma lake, copying Volcarona\'s movements. It successfully drew the flames from the magma and utilized them more effectively.

Meanwhile, Rapidash and the Ponyta quickly ran to the grassy area at the base of the volcano to frolic around.

Seeing that the Fire-type Pokémon had settled in, Yuga took the Eevee family to the adjacent forest to make their new home.
