I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 420: The Hero

Chapter 420: The Hero

"This will require your assistance to help the Bell Tower," Joe replied.

"Help? What could the Bell Tower possibly need my help with?" Yuga wondered. The Bell Tower was a significant force in the Pokémon world, and he couldn\'t fathom how he, an unknown individual, could be of assistance.

"We are in great need of a Chosen One," Joe explained.

"A Chosen One? You mean you want me to become your Chosen One? Or perhaps you want me to father a Chosen One for you?" Yuga\'s imagination ran wild, and he couldn\'t help but feel a bit terrified at the thought.

It seemed that Yuga had quite the vivid imagination. If Joe knew what he was thinking, he might just explode in frustration.

Seeing Yuga\'s bewildered expression, Joe continued, "I hope you can help us find the Chosen One."

Yuga breathed a sigh of relief. "Help you find the Chosen One? Are you saying you need me to locate someone you believe is the Chosen One? But why can\'t you do it yourselves? You have plenty of capable trainers here, so why involve me, an ordinary person?"

"It has to be you," Joe said firmly.

"Why?" Yuga was puzzled.

"Because you must be curious why we knew of your arrival and your purpose," Joe replied.

Indeed, Yuga was extremely curious, but he had assumed it was some sort of mystical ability of the monks. "Why?" he asked, keeping his inner thoughts in check.

"Because our Chosen One once visited us from the future. He told us that only you could help him. Unfortunately, we don\'t know the Chosen One\'s name or what he looked like as a child. Otherwise, we wouldn\'t need to trouble you," Joe explained.

This revelation left Yuga truly surprised. Time travel? Had he encountered Celebi, the guardian of the forest, or Dialga, the Legendary Pokémon that controlled time?

If this were true, it would explain everything. Yuga had initially thought that the monks possessed some unique power to predict the future, but now it made sense that they had knowledge from a time traveler.

Yuga sighed and asked, "How do you expect me to find this person? And what does finding someone have to do with meeting Lord Ho-Oh?"

Joe responded, "Have you heard of the legend of the Rainbow Feather?"

"The Rainbow Feather?" Yuga nodded. He was familiar with the legend that said Lord Ho-Oh would grant the title of Rainbow Hero to those chosen by the Rainbow Feather. If the Rainbow Hero passed a test, they would have the opportunity to meet Lord Ho-Oh, who would grant them one wish.

Joe was somewhat surprised that Yuga knew of the legend, given that he wasn\'t from the Johto or Kanto regions. Still, he smiled and said, "Since you know about the legend of the Rainbow Feather, it\'s quite simple. By helping our Chosen One pass the Rainbow Hero\'s test, you can also meet Lord Ho-Oh."

"Pass the Rainbow Hero\'s test? Do I have the qualifications to become a Rainbow Hero?" Yuga was astonished.

"You misunderstand. I want you to help our Chosen One pass the test and become the Rainbow Hero. This way, you\'ll also have the chance to meet Lord Ho-Oh," Joe clarified.

At that moment, Yuga felt a strong sense of disdain and disapproval from Joe.

Well, it turns out I\'m just a sidekick. I got all excited, thinking I could become the Rainbow Hero, but it seems I\'m just here to be a tool. Although I\'m not interested in this Chosen One business.

"But even if I agree to your request, I don\'t have the crucial Rainbow Feather," Yuga said helplessly, shrugging his shoulders.

"You don\'t need to worry about that!" Joe replied, and with a nod to a young monk standing nearby, the acolyte respectfully brought a box to Yuga and opened it.

Yuga peered into the box and saw a dazzling, seven-colored feather inside. "This Rainbow Feather is one of the last remaining treasures of the Bell Tower. With this Rainbow Feather, you can find our Chosen One," Joe explained.

From what Yuga knew, Ash Ketchum, also known as Satoshi, was the chosen Rainbow Hero. Should they kidnap Ash and bring him here? Given Ash\'s connection to Professor Oak, that wouldn\'t be practical, and turning him into a monk wouldn\'t be easy either.

Yuga sighed and asked Joe, "How often does a Rainbow Hero appear?"

Joe seemed puzzled by Yuga\'s question. He replied, "The appearance of a Rainbow Hero has no set frequency. It depends on the purity and kindness of one\'s heart. Such individuals are rare, and they may appear once in a thousand years or several times in a year. It\'s not related to time."

"I see," Yuga said. He had thought there might be some rule like "once every decade" or "once every century," but now he understood there was no such pattern.

But if that were the case, why hadn\'t the Rainbow Feather responded to him? Was he not pure-hearted enough? It was frustrating.

In this situation, Yuga felt he had no choice but to agree to Joe\'s request. After all, Chatot can\'t wait anymore!

"I promise to help you find the Chosen One and assist them in becoming the Rainbow Hero," Yuga agreed reluctantly.

"Excellent. We\'re counting on you," Joe said with a bright smile, nearly blinding Yuga with his radiant expression.

"Goodness, this guy\'s too much!" Yuga thought.

Following Joe\'s instructions, the novice monk holding the Rainbow Feather handed it to Yuga.

As Yuga accepted the Rainbow Feather, Joe continued, "Once you find the Chosen One, if they are not already a Pokémon Trainer, we hope you can help them become one, providing them with a starter Pokémon with a Blue potential. I know you can do it. During the trials of the Rainbow Hero, we also hope you can assist them in becoming a qualified Trainer."

Hearing these words, Yuga nearly wanted to smack Joe in the face with the Rainbow Feather. It felt like he was reduced to a mere tool. Where were his rights?

But considering he needed to use their Rainbow Feather to find Ho-Oh, Yuga reluctantly agreed.
