I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 405: Grass Types

Chapter 405: Grass Types

Within this category, they also listed the potential Pokémon species that might be available: Oddish, Cacnea, Petilil, Exeggcute, Fomantis, and Bounsweet.

Like the other three types of Pokémon, Grass-types were also limited in quantity, with only one available per month.

Given the current circumstances, this was the best they could manage, as Grass-type Pokémon had a slightly faster reproduction rate compared to others.

The pricing for Grass-type Pokémon was the lowest among the limited-edition Pokémon offered by YoYo Day Care. Oddish was the cheapest at 150,000, Petilil was the most expensive at 250,000, and the other types were all priced at 200,000.

The first Pokémon to appear on the YoYo Day Care website in its debut month was Bounsweet.

As a unique species from the Alola region, Bounsweet immediately caught the attention of many trainers and was quickly reserved.

Apart from this, YoYo Day Care\'s new store had finally introduced Hoppip and Oddish, which could create Grass Terrain. They promoted this aspect specifically, highlighting the effects of Grass Terrain on plant growth.

These two Pokémon, with their distinct features, immediately caused a small sensation in the local area. Not only were regular people interested in purchasing them, but many trainers also wanted to get their hands on one.

What made these Pokémon even more appealing was that YoYo Day Care had not raised their prices due to the Grass Terrain ability. In fact, due to their potentials and species, these two Pokémon were very reasonably priced.

Many farmers in the town, including Rand\'s father, Uncle Keith, purchased one. They were willing to trust YoYo Day Care\'s reputation, and Yuga\'s good standing in town made them confident that YoYo Day Care wouldn\'t deceive them.

However, the Grass Terrain Pokémon bought by regular townsfolk were mostly those with red and orange potentials, which were priced quite low. The Pokémon with yellow potential were mostly purchased by some civilian trainers.

But since these Pokémon had just been released, their numbers were extremely limited, making them a highly sought-after type of Pokémon.

Yuga felt that perhaps one day, farming with Grassy Terrain Pokémon might become a specialty of Verdanturf Town.

Due to the booming Pokémon business, Pokéblocks were also selling more briskly, keeping the employees at YoYo Day Care quite busy.

Around two days later, the customer who had reserved Bounsweet arrived at YoYo Day Care.

However, to Yuga\'s surprise, this customer was someone he knew, and he had come with his daughter.

"Nice to see you again, Mr. Shimizu."

As soon as he saw Yuga, Mr. Shimizu greeted him with a smile.

"Hello, Mr. Kobayashi. Nice to see you again."

Yuga shook hands with him politely.

Mr. Kobayashi was the gentleman who had come to the store earlier, wanting to pay an annual deposit and reserve Pokémon for his children.

Although Yuga had declined his proposal, Mr. Kobayashi had left a lasting impression on him.

Since customer reservations were usually handled by Windy, Yuga only found out today that Bounsweet had been reserved by Mr. Kobayashi.

"This is my daughter, Shiho. Bounsweet is reserved for her."

Mr. Kobayashi introduced the young girl standing beside him.

It turned out that Mr. Kobayashi had two daughters, with the one present being the older one, while his earlier intention to reserve Pokémon was for his younger daughter.

His older daughter, Shiho, had just celebrated her tenth birthday not long ago, and Mr. Kobayashi had been struggling to choose her starter Pokémon.

His younger daughter had expressed her desire for a Pokémon from YoYo Day Care, specifically Trapinch, well in advance. However, she was still quite a few years away from turning ten, so Mr. Kobayashi was in no hurry.

But Shiho had already turned ten, and she hadn\'t yet mentioned what kind of Pokémon she wanted as her starter.

Just then, YoYo Day Care introduced its new Pokémon, and it was Shiho who discovered it. She immediately fell in love with the adorable Bounsweet and informed her father.

Mr. Kobayashi was well aware of the unique rules at YoYo Day Care. It required the Pokémon trainer personally to be present when acquiring a Pokémon. However, for the sake of his beloved daughter, Mr. Kobayashi didn\'t find it troublesome at all.

Shiho appeared to have a reserved personality. After her father introduced Yuga\'s identity, she greeted him briefly and didn\'t say much more.

Yuga could tell that she was the quiet type and didn\'t mind her distant demeanor. Instead, he sent Wigglytuff to the daycare to bring Bounsweet.

"During this time, you need to spend quality time with Bounsweet. If Bounsweet doesn\'t approve of you, we won\'t let you take it. Do you understand?" Yuga held Bounsweet and spoke to Shiho. He believed Mr. Kobayashi had already explained these rules to her.

Shiho remained silent, only nodding her head in response, and then continued to gaze at Bounsweet in Yuga\'s arms.

Bounsweet, with its small, watery eyes, also looked at the young girl before it, considering the possibility of her becoming its partner.

"May I hold her?" Shiho suddenly looked up and asked Yuga.

Yuga smiled and replied, "Shouldn\'t you ask Bounsweet that question? If it\'s willing, then there\'s no problem."

Shiho nodded and looked back at Bounsweet, asking, "May I hold you?"

"Bounsweet!"

Bounsweet responded with an affirmative nod.

Bounsweet felt that she needed to personally assess if Shiho suited for her.

After handing Bounsweet to Shiho, Yuga led the father and daughter to the guest room, where they could spend time with Bounsweet. Since there were still many customers in the store, he left them in the care of Wigglytuff. When it was time, Wigglytuff would escort them out.

Yuga wasn\'t concerned that anyone would sneak away with their Pokémon. The Gatekeeper, like Great Flygon, were perched on the roof, silently watching over the customers entering and exiting YoYo Day Care.

In fact, those familiar with YoYo Day Care knew better than to cause trouble or try any tricks inside. The Pokémon stationed at the entrance were not there for show.

YoYo Day Care had been in operation for quite some time, and it wasn\'t uncommon for incidents to occur in the store. However, most people who had caused trouble inside had not fared well.

Not to mention the guardians on the roof, even the Linoone and Mightyena couple patrolling near the entrance was intimidating enough to deter anyone from trying anything foolish.
