Chapter 86: Secrets...

"I know." Ha Joon spoke, "But can you not see the look on their faces? So much hatred. People of the medieval era are so simple…words easily believed."

—Uhn?

He took a step forward, moving towards the burnt orphanage home.

"Don\'t go that far in!" Mordred warned.

The civilians who stood in front of him, all slowly spread apart, even though they were raging, they wouldn\'t dare lay a finger on the Prime minister, not yet.

"It\'s him! He\'s the one that beat aunty up!" One of the kids shouted- his hand shaking as he pointed at Ha Joon.

The three females with torn clothes who were seated on the ground, hugged the kids close to them, their way of protecting the little ones from Ha Joon.

"Step away from the kids! They are human too!!!"

"We can fight back!!!"

The civilians chanted, their words, like a spike to Ha Joon\'s chest.

Lies

Ha Joon stared at the group of women in front of the orphanage home, observing as they pretended, fake tears running down their cheeks, even the children played a role.

But for the crowd that gathered around the scene, not a single one of them told a lie, they had simply just followed what they had heard, some claiming to have seen Ha Joon walking out of the orphanage home.

Ha Joon smiled.

\'It\'s so easy to turn people against those in power in whom they see no utility. The great kingdom of Camelot. A Kingdom whose citizens hold their knights in higher regard than their own king. Used to sheltered comfortable lives, they have forgotten what it means to depend on a king, to need a king... To need those with power...

Hence why it is so easy for them to point fingers at their Prime minister.\'

The crowd kept shouting, chanting in Ha Joon\'s ear as he stood only a few feet away from the orphanage home.

Mordred had reached for the hilt of her blade, ready to act if the scene were to escalate.

Even Yukio and Sinex could see that the crowd was growing wilder as Ha Joon got closer.

\'My plan had already been set in motion, but this… I must say I didn\'t expect this. Someone is already trying to take me out of the picture, they understand how weak the people of Camelot believe in their politics, and once that\'s done they\'ll target Artoria.\'

Sigh ~

\'Honestly… this is getting a tad bit interesting\'.

…..

Standing in front of the tall window, watching as the people raged and Ha Joon walked away with his subordinate, while they were raining insults on him— was a man….

"It\'s going as planned." The man spoke, sipping the wine in his grasp.

His name was Rimal Tempruge, the second most powerful noble in all of Camelot. He was in charge of two cities and one of the few people granted access to the royal castle.

"Just look at them, bunch of animals taking in everything they are fed. It\'s almost too easy. Now, just a slight push, and this Prime minister will be out of the way… And that is where you come in… my dear Lady Belinda." story-source-NovelFire

He turned to look at her—

Belinda was seated on the chair while Lancelot was standing at the entrance of the door.

"Are we really doing this?" Belinda whispered under her breath, "Her highness really-"

"Are you getting soft feet on us now? You said you wanted him gone, did you not? It\'s for the betterment of Camelot, with him gone, I can take on the role of prime minister like I wanted to before he showed up, and then, Camelot will become what it once was, perfect." Rimal spoke, shaking the wine in his hand.

"Yeah…but-"

"Belinda." Lancelot chimed in, "I don\'t want to do this anymore than you do, but those people, the Red Wings are strong and powerful. The rest of the roundtable are currently unsure of what to do about them, to save Camelot…the Traveler has to go".

Belinda sighed, "Are you sure it\'s not just because you hate him?".

"That is definitely a plus… all in all, he needs to go." Lancelot confirmed.

"Good, I\'m glad we\'ve come to a conclusion. Now, this is what you need to do for this plan to succeed… trust me, I have planted help around the main capital, it\'s sure to work".

Belinda looked at Rimal, as he handed her a small bottle filled with a strange liquid.

A weird smile on the man\'s face as he uttered, "For the betterment of Camelot", before stretching it towards her again.

Meanwhile….

In the Goddess Ishtar\'s camber.

Scorpion walked in, his footsteps echoing inside the empty shrine. He was the only one she had requested to see, which was strange to the rest, since the Goddess rarely cared enough to do that.

Once Scorpion arrived in front of the box hidden under the fabric, he fell to his knees, his head bowed.

"Goddess, you summoned for me." he said.

"Yes I did. Remind me what your name is again." Ishtar uttered from behind the fabric.

"Ha–.... Scorpion," he replied.

—Silence

"Oh? You are the one that took the position of number 1 from the current holder, are you not?"

"That would be me."

"And you are also the one that made an oath to bring me the Traveler in two weeks time."

"That is also me."

Hahahaha~~

"You\'ve grown quite strong haven\'t you? First of my subjects to show so much progress in a limited amount of time— was failing to impress me your motivation?"

"Yes it was."

Hmph~

"I heard you are planning to raid Camelot with 500 of my disciples, quite the bold move you\'re making."

"If you are worried about me failing, I will not, I have people planted in their midst, their numbers will not matter." Scorpion reassured her.

"Is that so? How do you know so much about Camelot?"

"Because I am your disciple."

The goddess suddenly stood up, and then she walked outside, revealing herself to him.

"You amuse me… in a good way, and I don\'t like that. But I shall look past it, you\'ve done well. Come back tomorrow and tell me stories like you did yesterday, I would like to hear more."

"As you wish, My Goddess".
