Perfect Villain Life: Universal Job Change

Chapter 60 - The Dungeon Opens

Qin Xian’s status was secure for two reasons: First, he was the only son of Qin Ming, and second, his talent and strength were enough to keep all of his cousins in check.

As such, Qin Xian was the undisputed heir of the Qin family, and no one had the ability—or the courage—to challenge his position. Chu Junzhuo’s situation wasn’t so simple.

As the eldest daughter of the Chu family, Chu Junzhuo had access to the family’s resources, which could have helped her complete her class quest. However, despite being the eldest daughter, she wasn’t the heir to the Chu family.

The Chu family was vast, and Chu Junzhuo had many brothers. While Chu Sitian, the current head of the family, adored his granddaughter and even considered naming her the heir, her brothers were equally capable and, more importantly, ambitious. They had long coveted Chu Junzhuo’s potential inheritance.

For this reason, Chu Junzhuo wasn’t planning to rely on her family’s power for this expedition to the Decaying Kingdom. Instead, she had chosen to collaborate with Qin Xian. With his formidable strength, he would be a powerful ally.

“Well then, we’ll be in touch,” Chu Junzhuo said with a smile. “I wish you the best of luck, Junior Qin. May you receive the highest blessing from the ancient gods.”

She glanced briefly at Qin Li, seemingly noticing the hostility in her eyes. Chu Junzhuo gave her a polite smile but said nothing as she gracefully departed, leaving a faint scent of perfume in the air.

Qin Li’s face grew cold as she silently moved closer to Qin Xian.

Watching Chu Junzhuo’s retreating figure, Qin Xian narrowed his eyes. The reason he agreed to Chu Junzhuo’s proposal was that she was indeed worth his effort. If he could influence the Chu family through her, the potential benefits could be immense…

The time for the Shattered Heaven dungeon to open had finally arrived.

[Large Special Dungeon]: Shattered Heaven

[Entry Level]: 15 to 40

[Team Size Limit]: 25 members

[Number of Bosses]: 7

[Description]: As a creation of ancient godly wisdom, the Ancient Empire of Saint Nuolmen was once the greatest civilization of its time. The empire’s territory spanned the universe, blessed by the gods themselves, and was home to hundreds of demigods.

Its vassal races were innumerable, and for tens of thousands of years, it shone brightly, known as the Heavenly Kingdom.

But the Void set its sights on this prosperous land. After three hundred years of fierce resistance, the Saint Nuolmen Empire was completely destroyed, consumed by the Void.

Now, in the shattered remnants of the Heavenly Kingdom, countless Void monsters continue to ravage the land. The knights who once loyally served the empire have become terrifying Void Black Knights, with nothing left in their minds but the desire to kill.

The emperors of the ancient empire still suffer under the torment of the Void, and the ancient gods remain trapped within the Holy Sky Palace.

Brave warriors! March into the Shattered Heaven, eliminate the Void monsters, and free the emperors’ souls. Let the light of the ancient gods shine once again in the Shattered Heaven!

Perhaps, one day, the Shattered Heaven will be restored, and the Saint Nuolmen Empire will return to this world, rekindling the flame of civilization…

As Qin Xian read the dungeon description, his expression turned serious.

In this world, most dungeons operated like cold, mechanical spaces where monsters and bosses lacked any real intelligence or emotion. However, large special dungeons were different. The monsters within had a degree of intelligence, and the bosses were even more cunning and dangerous.

The final boss of Shattered Heaven, the Void Warlord Kaa, was a level 40 elite boss, and to this day, no one had managed to fully conquer it.

Even more daunting were the ancient gods who would descend at the end of the dungeon—actual deities who willingly allowed themselves to be sealed within the dungeon by the Apocalypse System.

Another unique aspect of Shattered Heaven was that, unlike other dungeons, where each team was sent into its own instance, all the teams in Shattered Heaven would be placed in the same space. There was no need to worry about overcrowding, though.

The dungeon was as vast as an entire province of the empire, and each team would be randomly teleported to different areas.

This meant that the dangers in the dungeon didn’t only come from the monsters… other teams could pose a threat as well. Sometimes, fellow humans were far more dangerous than the monsters they faced.
