MMORPG: Divine Mech Hunter

Chapter 310 - 310 Dicelan

Li Yao shook his head, saying, “They’re bringing this hardship on themselves. It’s clear that even the game’s administrators can’t change the data. They must have been turned away empty-handed. I bet the administrators would say, ‘We can’t do anything about it, nor should we. If you could turn the auction house into your private property, we wouldn’t interfere.’”

“Pretty much,” grumbled the approaching Dumb Dumb in dissatisfaction. “These people have no shame. Complaining about us achieved nothing, and instead they directly ask us what tactics we use. They should buzz off. Even if we did have a secret method, we certainly wouldn’t tell them.”

“Dumb Dumb’s right. These people are sick. Let’s ignore them. Let’s go have a spending spree in the auction house,” Li Yao suggested, pulling Dumb Dumb along with him.

“Ooh, yes, I haven’t yet gotten to play the wealthy lady!” Dumb Dumb seemed delighted.

When Li Yao brought Dumb Dumb to the auction house, it was not to buy equipment. The guild storage was already filled. But they could never have too many rare materials, skill books, blueprints and such.

They continued their buying spree until dawn. After organizing what they had purchased, Li Yao said goodbye to an enthusiastic Dumb Dumb, climbing aboard an airship bound for the West Continent.

Li Yao had already gotten in touch with Claw Without Trace. He decided to help them with some side quests, thus securing a commanding position, before trying to infiltrate it subtly.

Li Yao quickly reached Dark Grey Valley, where Claw Without Trace had been waiting for him for a while.

“Hi, top player, here we are,” the Little Elves waved their hands.

Li Yao scanned his surroundings before asking, “Why are there only two of you?”

Claw Without Trace answered, “The others had things to do and couldn’t make it today.”

Li Yao nodded, not asking any more questions. “We can share the quest. Let’s get started.”

“Ok, thanks a ton for your assistance.” Claw Without Trace said.

Ghost Necklace Collection

Quest Description: Colin Firefeather needs to collect some ghost necklaces, which can be found in the ruins of Dicelan.

Dicelan, a million years ago, was a glorious ancient elf city but it was flooded by raging seawater after a cataclysm. When the sea receded, the city was left in ruins.

The souls of countless ancient elves could not rest, wandering around this ruin. The ancient elves have tried to purify them for thousands of years, but the Undead City still exists.

Quest Requirement: Collect 200 ghost necklaces.

Quest Reward: 12% of experience, a skill book, Colin Firefeather’s favorability.

Li Yao nodded. It was a good enough quest. He could earn a skill book, which was fantastic.

“How far have you gotten with this quest, and how many necklaces have you collected?”

Little Elvin responded, “This is a task from an old elf. He’s really pitiful. I’ve already helped him collect materials three times. This is the fourth, but this time the materials are far away, by the seaside, deep in the territory of the Light Faction. We can’t make it through.”

“Alright, then follow me.” he summoned Death God 4000 and hoisted himself onto its shoulder.

The siblings glanced at each other before following him.

Li Yao knew very well the location of Dicelan, which is located to the north of the Abyss Temple instance. It’s on the side of the Light Faction.

Li Yao agreed so readily because he wanted to find out the location of the headquarters. Dicelan was a must-go place anyway.

Death God 4000 was very unique, and Li Yao was currently enjoying widespread fame. The recent victories, along with not long ago the sweeping victories in Dark Grey Valley, were still being eagerly discussed by players of the Light Faction.

Finding Death God 4000, some of the Light Faction players chose to retreat while others acted as though they hadn’t seen Li Yao and acted as if nothing had happened.

“Top player, you’re really awesome.” Little Elvin looked at Li Yao, her eyes sparkling.

“Not really. Players from the Light Faction are just too cheeky. A good thrashing and they calm down.” Li Yao said casually.

“Bro, this really…I have nothing to say but respect.” Claw Without Trace grinned wryly.

These past few days they’ve been bustling about here and had a thorough understanding of the situation. When players of the two factions came across each other, they’d immediately break out into chaos.

Some team members even backed out because they couldn’t stand losing the experience. He only continued because he cared about his sister, still carrying out quests together with her.

They had also tried to venture further, but yesterday nearly all of them were encircled by Light Faction players. Claw Without Trace almost persuaded his sister to abandon the task, but surprisingly Li Yao contacted them.

Today was a complete contrast from the past, with Li Yao charging all the way forth. Surprisingly, not one player from the Light Faction dared to oppose him.

Even more astonishing was how Li Yao guided Death God 4000 directly into a battle between the Light Faction and the Dark Camp. Immediately the two warring groups dispersed like birds and beasts.

Seeing this, the two siblings were left dumbstruck. This was just ridiculously wild.

The city of Dicelan was not large and while it wasn’t right on the coastline, it was not far off.

Li Yao had the Fire Hawk fly around for a bit to understand the situation. In other parts of the city players were leveling. The undead here could be classified as banshees.

Banshees are a special kind of undead creature that female elves can turn into after death. Although their bodies are ghostlike, they are physical beings, and they can fly.

Banshee of the Undead

Rank: Level 16 2-Star Elite

Health: 36000

Armor: 450

Resistance: Basic Arcane Resistance

Skills: Arcane Explosion, Arcane Missiles, Soul Drain, Soul Scream

“These elites are so powerful, and there are so many banshees around. How do we kill them?” Little Elvin was perplexed. “My Fire Spirit can’t endure this.”

“Let’s have my brother’s Mechanical Puppet be the main tank, I can heal it.” Claw Without Trace proposed.

“Sounds good. My pet can be the main tank. You two wait here, I’ll go pull the mobs.” Having said this, Li Yao had already entered the city.

“Bro, there are mobs here. Why does the top player have to go inside to pull them?” Little Elvin asked, puzzled.

“Er, I’m not sure either. Why don’t you ask him later.” Claw Without Trace just smiled after pondering for a while, also unsure of Li Yao’s plan.

“Alright, I’ll ask him later.” Little Elvin nodded.

But soon they understood why Li Yao had gone inside – they saw Li Yao running at high speed with at least twenty banshees chasing after him.

“Holy crap, did he draw aggro? We better run.” Claw Without Trace said, his face suddenly changing colors.

“No, get ready for combat.” Li Yao shouted when he saw the siblings about to run away.

“What?” both siblings were dumbfounded.

“I said get ready for combat, and remember to heal my pet.” Li Yao explained.

The siblings were speechless. How were they supposed to fight more than twenty 1-Star elites? Was this a suicide mission?
