MMORPG: Divine Mech Hunter

Chapter 60 - 60: Revenge

A team of players just saw Li Yao soaring on his Dragon Eagle. One of the innocent-looking Priests in the team, with stars gleaming in her eyes, commented, “Such a beautiful mount! I wish I could have one too.’

The young warrior next to her immediately replied, “I will definitely get one for you in the future.”

“Hmm, I believe in you.” The Priest responded with a sweet smile on her face.

The Knight next to them smirked, “Enough with the daydreaming, let’s go level up. You just created your characters.”

“Why is it a daydream?” the young warrior voiced his dissatisfaction, “We are just playing a game, is it so hard to get a mount?”

“Use your brain.” The elder Knight knocked on his head lightly, “Didn’t you read the official guide? Our race’s mount is the Chocobos, and they can’t fly. What you saw just now was the Dragon Eagle, only available to the formal army of

High Elves. Stop dreaming about getting one.”

The sullen young Warrior retorted, “But that player just had his Dragon Eagle!

Why can he have one but not us?”

The elder Knight sighed sadly, “Player? That was an NPC! Currently, the highest level is below 10. Players need to reach at least level 20 before getting their first mounts. Did you even bother to read the guides?”

The young warrior blushed, humbly replying, “You’re much wiser, brother. I can’t even distinguish between a player and an NPC.”

“Yes, I am.” The elder Knight gave him a proud look, “Just follow me and learn. In this game, there are countless details and secrets. Without sharp observation, how can we win?

Seeing the admiration in the eyes of the young Priest looking at him, he felt even more proud and waved his hand, stating, “Alright, let’s go. Now that I am a Level 4 Knight, I can help you level up quickly by hunting Level 2 monsters.”

Many players in the square misjudged Li Yao as an NPC, all giving their own conclusions.

Li Yao, in his previous life, owned several flying mounts, including several combat mounts.

“The Ancient God World” didn’t have a “riding” skill. This means that how well you control your mount depends entirely on the individual’s ability.

Theoretically, a player is expected to have their first mount at around Level 20. But that’s just a theory. If you have a steed earlier, you can use it.

The challenge though, is to obtain one. Before Level 20, getting a mount is as hard as reaching the sky. Without related quests, without specific ranks, NPC sellers will not sell mounts to players.

There are many interesting settings in “The Ancient God World”, for instance, players believe that only Level 10 Hunters can capture pets.

That’s because there are no skill books for capturing pets at lower levels, and players rely on the mentor after Level 10. However, there’s no such rule stating that Hunters can’t have pets before Level 10.

The Level 10 capture skill is the mentor’s assessment of rookie adventurers, not a rigid system setting.

Accordingly, after obtaining the Eye of the Creator, Li Yao was able to have mechanical pets.

When he triggered the set effect of the Creator’s Hand, Li Yao obtained the Mechanical Contract which allowed him to capture pets.

In his previous life, Li Yao had vast experience in aerial combat, controlling a flying mount was a piece of cake for him.

Li Yao sat on the back of the Dragon Eagle, feeling the wind on his face and his cloak rustling.

From a distance, he saw Faselin Academy and the situation on the second platform.

As expected of a top-ranking studio in China, Carefree Studios showed its strength. Although they lost many players’ levels by using Li Yao’s strategy, their progress was almost on par with other major guilds and legions.

At this moment, less than a fifth of the boss’s health remained on the first platform.

Carefree Xiaozi, a female Mage, was busily making Fireballs on a dome. When she noticed Carefree Second Brother’s communication ended, she asked, “Second brother, what happened?”

Carefree Second Brother, without forgetting his offense, continuously shot arrow after arrow from his double-handed crossbow. Casually he said, “Prairie Fire is difficult to deal with. Negotiations broke down on Big Brother’s side.”

Carefree Xiaozi frowned, “Prairie Fire is way too arrogant, not even giving face to big brother. Who does he think he is?”

“It’s hard to deal with people like him. Seems like there’s no solution to our grudge. The third brother is also to blame. Big Brother asked him to postpone his revenge, but he wouldn’t listen. Now we’re in a passive situation.” Carefree Second Brother said.

“Prairie Fire does have some abilities. His method is effective. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know how to be a human. Why did he kill Third Brother down to

Level o? Just because he was mocked a few times?” Carefree Xiaozi angrily felt that Li Yao had gone too far.

They never thought that their actions of snatching other people’s boss, smearing others’ reputations online were going too far. They are completely self-centered.

“It’s just a solitary player, not worth mentioning. We can’t spare our hands now, but once we are free…” Carefree Third Brother noticed a small flying object.

“Is it an NPC or a monster?” Carefree Xiaozi was puzzled, but then her face paled, “Oh no, he’s flying over!”

A massive Dragon Eagle, as if covered in flames, dashed between the two platforms. The hulking figure on its back cut down a rope bridge with a single swipe of his great sword.

“My rope bridge!” Carefree Xiaozi screamed.

At this moment, the boss was about to move to the second platform, but seeing Li Yao cut off one rope bridge, though there were still two intact bridges, no one dared to cross.

If you were on the bridge and it was cut, death was almost certain.

“Who are you? Why are you making things difficult for us?” Carefree Second Brother shouted.

However, the man on the Dragon Eagle ignored him, swung his great sword again, and cut down the second rope bridge, guiding the Dragon Eagle towards the third bridge.

“Shoot him down.” Carefree Second Brother shouted, “Even if we die, we will take him down with us.”

As Carefree Second Brother spoke, all three of them began to attack Li Yao.

Just as Li Yao cut down the third rope bridge, he saw the incoming attack, quickly pulled the reins, and the Dragon Eagle ascended. All three attacks landed on the Dragon Eagle.

-1, miss, -1…

The three attacks couldn’t even penetrate the Dragon Eagle’s defense, but it did anger the Dragon Eagle.

The Dragon Eagle is a very ferocious creature, and also a magical creature.

The reason it obeyed Li Yao’s command was that he was its master. As for others, it wouldn’t show any consideration.

The Dragon Eagle let out a thunderous roar, causing several tornadoes, ten yards high and three to four yards wide, to start rampaging on the two platforms and the corridors between them.

The three members of the Carefree Studio were swept away by the tornado before they even realized what was happening, and then they were as dead as they could be.

The Dragon Eagle didn’t control the tornado, but the rampaging tornado swept across the two platforms.

Meanwhile, the souls of the three members of the Carefree Studio stared blankly at the battle log.

“System: You have initiated an attack on a Level 60 Boss.”

“System: The Dragon Eagle Boss has inflicted xxx damage on you with the Sky-Filled Tornado.”

“System: You have died, your soul has been released in the graveyard.”
