That as**ole is indeed a threat like no other!

Theisio had no intentions of flying up and take Saleen’s challenge. He was considering the possibility of leaving or entering the energy barrier to look for the treasures of the cemetery.

Regardless of the sheer amount of alchemical materials outside, all of them were broken. What lied within the energy barrier within the cemetery was something that would have truly proved enticing.

“How about it, Theisio? You’re afraid to get in there?” Saleen continued to jab sarcastically at the pope while watching his movements. Saleen was ready to brandish his Thunder Dragon Blaster as soon as Theisio used any of the three godly items.

While the Thunder Dragon Blaster would not have been able to destroy the three godly items, it was nonetheless capable of breaking any skills cast using the three godly items.

Saleen’s confidence grew. He knew that while his Crystal Finger might not have been able to kill Theisio, it would have nonetheless robbed Theisio of his combat capacity for the time being.

Such effects would have lasted for at least an hour, which meant that his Thunder Dragon Blaster would have been ready to strike again, as soon as Theisio recovered. Furthermore, Saleen would have been able to restore half of his magic chords within that one hour.

There was no way he would have been caught in a disadvantage in his showdown with Theisio.

“Are you baiting me, Saleen?” Theisio looked up and said.

“I am. Do you dare go in?” Saleen knew that there were fossilized gods of greater power within. Lex was capable of concealing their presence with the God’s Ring. Those from Holy Rock City would have been decimated to a handful if it had not been for Lex’s help.

However, all of them were loyal to Emperor Chanake, so Lex would not have been so brutal with them.

If the God’s Ring proved inadequate to keep them concealed, Lex would have escaped by then. Saleen determined that Lex was taking her sweet time pillaging within the cemetery. Theisio would not have had such luck if he were to get in there.

“Hmph, I’ll make sure to bring the oracles here next time, Saleen.” Theisio waved and ordered his men to move towards the cemetery’s exit.

“So that’s all you’ve got?” Saleen continued dropping rocks on them. The knights were forced to spread out by then. While their route remained unchanged, they had to meander their way around instead of running in a tight formation.

Not even golden grand swordmasters would have been able to defend against having such rocks landing on their heads.

While Saleen continued to jab at Theisio sarcastically, he became somewhat worried. The pope did not choose to get inside the energy barrier and refused to fight him as well. Are we really to have two sides clashing right before the tower?

The Holy See was skilled at synchronized attacks.

Theisio chose to run because he was a pope. He was unable to just let the 49 red-robed bishops die there. There was no way to receive blessing from their god within the cemetery. Things were different there from the outside.

The pope would have been able to communicate with powerful beings within divine kingdoms using the three godly items, acquiring power from them.

He had never expected all means of communication would have been shut down altogether after venturing into the cemetery. He was no longer able to sense his god’s presence.

Saleen began to attack Theisio in a frenzy after seeing that the pope tried to run. He had actually had the demons dug out several mountains and storing them within the Starline Ring, enabling him to attack with impunity without any concerns for any of the rocks missing.

It was far easier to do so that attacking with magic, with the only drawback being incapable of targeting anything. Saleen lowered the altitude and began attacking from a height of over 5000 meters. He was able to calculate the escape routes taken by the knights using Figaro’s Magic Formula, enabling him to strike preemptively.

All of that, coupled with the power of astrology, increased the rocks’ accuracy drastically.

The rocks dropped onto the head of each knight accurately like the Meteorite spell. The knights had to use their own skills and deflect the rocks with their lances by then.

Over a hundred knights below level seven were crushed within moments. Their armors were utterly useless against the onslaught.

They were several hundred miles away from the cemetery’s exit.

Nailisi and the others began to pursue any knight who had fallen behind, hunting down every one of them. Saleen’s rocks had carved the Holy See’s formations up. Theisio was busy protecting the 49 holy masters, who in turn, cast divine spells on the knights.

However, being cut off from the power of their god, the power of faith of divine power stored within their equipment would have eventually been used up.

The knights’ casualty count continued to climb. Saleen was able to isolate the true might from the other knights according to plan, before summoning the thunder dragons. All 24 of the thunder dragons formed a magic array right behind him, conjuring a grey ball lightning at the center of the array.

Saleen then mixed the ball lightning within a Meteorite spell before throwing it down.

“A level nine Meteorite?” That true might-level knight saw Saleen’s attack and became rather pissed at Theisio’s weakness. Why didn’t he go after the mage up in the air?

Purple aura burst from the golden lance on the knight’s hand, which he then thrust at the sky. Saleen saw a snake-shaped beam of energy coming for him.

He never expected that level ten true might’s attack range to be able to reach beyond five miles.

Saleen cast a huge Ice Bomb right away. Fire burned intensely on the Ice Bomb, which had a diameter of over ten meters. That was Saleen’s level nine Ice Bomb spell, which was capable of being converted to all manner of attacks.

The snake-shaped purple aura was intercepted by the Ice Bomb. Elemental energies on it continued to rapidly convert, shaving off the purple energy layer by layer.

The level ten true might continued to thrust his lance at lightning speed. Over a hundred thrusts ended up breaking up all the Meteorite, before the ball lightning in their midst appeared right before the true might.

The knight thrust the golden lance with a burst of purple aura at the ball lightning, which swayed about and just rode along the length of the lance somehow.

The level ten true might knight’s hair stood up and the holy prose on his armor spun, casting over a thousand purple aura and coalesced into a pointy spear shape, piercing the ball lightning.

The grey ball lightning punched through the purple energy and dropped onto the level ten true might’s head.

He quickly lost consciousness right afterwards. The ball lightning seeped through the armor and embedded into his body. Resisting lightning through force was tantamount to suicide.

The lightning attack was not a targeted one, as Saleen was incapable of doing so at the moment. The ball lightning’s attack was all up to fate after it went over two to three hundred meters away from Saleen. However, the knight did not know that resisting the attack through force would have caused his body to combust instead.

That was especially so with him being clad with expensive metal armor all over his body, as it would have attracted lightning like nothing else. The pointy spike on his helmet worked like a lightning rod, attracting the attack to him.

It was precisely due to him wanting to kill that level ten true might, that he did not use any magic attacks. He knew that if that knight was able to be made a part of a formation, said knight’s ability would have been raised from level ten to 11.

Even Nailisi would have had to attack him head on, if she were to score a victory against him.

She would have had to give up defense altogether and thrust the Grey Memory at him. It was a one-shot victory that would have only been made possible with her suffering severe damage as a result.

Only Pope Theisio sensed the death of the true might. Saleen threw three more ball lightning downwards. 12 golden grand swordmasters went on to defend against the lightning attack hidden within the Meteorite spell.

“Retreat!”

Theisio was unable to make it in time. Saleen’s lightning icicles went straight for the red-robed bishops at his side.

Most of them were level nine, but there were seven of them who were level ten holy masters. Those holy masters’ powers were forcefully enhanced by the oracles. Although they might not have been much of a combatant, they were nonetheless level ten professionals, so Saleen saw fit to get rid of them first.

Theisio brandished his God Grace Staff, conjuring a golden vortex above him. Pure white light shone within the golden vortex, casting on the level ten red-robed bishops.

All seven of those bishops cast Divine Protection at the same time.

Theisio saw the 12 golden grand swordmasters being struck by the ball lightning. Half of them dropped right away while the remaining half shuddered as if they were having seizures.

Three ball lightning ended up killing six knights. However, the ball lightning was something capable of entering another target after phasing through one. None of the knights knew how to defend against a skill that was so peculiar.

The golden grand swordmasters notwithstanding, not even Saleen himself knew how to defend against ball lightning. He was only able to run if he were to encounter one, as the only drawback about ball lightning was that they move slowly.

The golden grand swordmasters made the mistake of treating Saleen’s lightning attacks with common magic knowledge.

Generally-speaking, magic spells attacking at slow speeds had possibilities of speeding up. They might have looked slow, but once the target started evading, such types of spells would have moved increasingly fast to chase their targets. The power of such spells grew as a result as well, becoming indefensible eventually.

Such spells could have been cut down using sword aura as soon as they were seen. They were easy to dispel at the beginning.

However, that was not how ball lightning worked. They were incapable of acceleration and while they looked flighty and aimless, it was not a result of Saleen’s control; Saleen had no control over them whatsoever.

If the golden knights were spread out and ran, none of the three ball lightning would have able to hit any of the intended targets. However, all 12 of the golden knights connected their squadron’s armors together to defend against them and retaliate. Such a move resulted in six dead and six severely injured.

The Flower of Evil was in full blossom. 260 evil angels burst out and intended to defend against the lightning icicles in the holy masters’ stead. However, the lightning icicles were simply moving too fast. They penetrated the Divine Protection and killed three of them.

The remaining four were grazed by the lightning icicles and rendered paralyzed.

Shrieks were from the knights at the rear. Saleen’s teams followed closely behind, hunting down knights that dropped out. Saleen was attacking from above, preventing Theisio from splitting his attentioin.

The pope was very regretful. He would not have entered the cemetery if he knew things would have turned out like that.

None of the three godly items is able to connect to the divine kingdoms. Are you going to just die here?

He had no idea that Saleen was only able to conjure four ball lightning. All of the thunder dragons had returned to Saleen’s necklace, requiring a day of rest before being able to come out.

Saleen was very pleased. He never expected the people of the Holy See to be so incapable of adapting on the fly. They actually resisted spells that moved so slowly with their weapons.

He had killed all who were above golden grand swordmasters and the six that survived with severe injuries would have had a hard time recovering. It was simple to deal with the rest.

Saleen then took out a bunch of scrolls...
