The Strongest Dragon in the Era of Beast Taming

Chapter 376 - 370: Purple Cloud Alchemist Guild

“Indeed, and much to my chagrin, I must admit that if you, David Jones, don’t take up the position of leader, no one else would fit the bill.” Sylvia Creek said, placing her cards on the table.

“Apparently, students who establish clubs and bring honor to Rosewood College will be massively rewarded by the university; perhaps about a hundred thousand credits, distributed over five years, at an annual rate of twenty thousand credits.”

Yolanda York spoke passionately, “With team leader David Jones leading us, I believe we can indeed obtain honor at next year’s Pharmacy Conference!” “Are you forcing a duck to fly here?” David quickly retorted, amused at how quickly they decided to form a club.

After a while, seeing that everybody was looking at him expectantly in silence, David sighed helplessly.

Alright. What kind of club do you plan to set up?”

After all, plucking the elixir soul was still plucking, to establish a club and pluck some more credits wouldn’t be a bad deal.

And if it helps to recruit more talented pharmacists, perhaps his eyes would grow stronger even faster.

As for the club’s affairs, of course, those who proposed it would be responsible for it.

With that thought in mind, David glanced at Margaret Yule who was sitting next to him.

Seeing David finally agree, everyone glanced at each other and said in unison, “Of course, it’s the Pharmacy Club!”

“Then let’s go and handle the paperwork for the club.” said David, clapping his hands and leading the crowd.

Soon, David and the others arrived at the entrance of the Broadview Tower, the center where student clubs were managed.

“You’re David Jones?”

Just then, from the group of five or six people who had been following him, a robust youth with a brilliant bald head and an aura of strength stepped forward. Who might you be?” David asked, furrowing his brows.

From the tone of this question, he surmised that the newcomer was up to no good.

“I’m Neil Pounce, ranked tenth on the Myrtle List. I don’t know what trickyou used to get onto the third rank of the Myrtle List, but it would only take one fight for me to know whether you ‘re genuinely strong or merely boasting!” Upon hearing this, David’s expression had grown a little strange.

He shouldn’t be here. Rosewood College is a gathering of promising talents. How could such a rash young man appear here?

“So, you’re here to challenge me? Don’t you know that the rankings on the Myrtle List have a one-month protection period?”

David looked interestedly at the young man who seemed to be quite “bald” and ambitious.

“I don’t care about the rankings, only whether or not you’re strong, do you want to fight me now?” A look of excitement flashed across Neil’s face.

“Hold on, if I guessed correctly, you probably have no extra credits for initiating a challenge, hoping for a free fight, right?” Sylvia said, remembering a familiar name and quickly tried to interrupt.

“Damn it, found out!” Neil froze, a trace of absurd embarrassment showing on his face.

To prevent strong-ones on the Myrtle list from being harassed by back-to- back fights, interfering with their cultivation practices, there was a rule on the Myrtle List.

Candidates needed to pay a hundred credits for the right to fight a candidate ranked within three positions, five hundred credits for rankings exceeding five positions, and a whopping thousand credits for those above ten positions. However, Neil’s pet, the Flat-Pattern Badger, so happened to have an intense fighting desire. Once it started to fight, it would battle ruthlessly, exchanging blow for blow, flesh for blood. Hence, except for crucial battles that affected Myrtle List rankings, no Trainer wanted to engage him in combat.

So, in order to challenge stronger opponents and fully enjoy the battle experience, credit-depleted Neil targeted the recent rising star, David Jones. “Nonsense, I’m just questioning the worth of his third ranking on the Myrtle List. If you can beat me, all the rumors circulating in school would be dispelled!”

Neil Pounce looked earnestly at David, saying each word with a pause, in a deeply stark voice.

David laughed, this was the first time he had seen someone so shameless.

“I don’t care about rumors. If you want to challenge me, you can come back again in a month. Remember to bring your credits then.”

Davidson led his group and walked into the Broadview Tower as soon as he finished speaking.

Seeing a student ranked tenth on the Myrtle List wouldn’t bring any growth to his pet, he couldn’ t be bothered to pay attention now.

Watching David’s gradually disappearing figure, Neil spat out a phrase, turned around, and left.

“Ugh, if I had five hundred credits, I would have challenged Fred Hoyle who is first in the Myrtle List! So annoying, I guess this month I will have to complete another boring task!”

“You need to show your student ID to establish a club.” Seeing the unfamiliar faces of the youths, the elder in charge of club management handled the affairs officially.

Pausing slightly as he placed the student card from David on the machine, the elder couldn’t help but adjust his glasses.

“New student, 1027 cohort, third place on Myrtle List?”

The elder gave David Jones a thorough look before calmly inquiring, “What’s the name of the club?”

“Let’s have the Captain name it!” Cecily Mansfield suggested proactively.

“How about Purple Haze Club? What do you all think?” David, who was terrible with names, spit out a suggestion.

“Purple Haze Club?”

Yolanda York quietly repeated the name, then looked at David, surprised.

This is a grand aspiration!

The Alchemist Guild event, Purple Haze Alchemic Meeting, was a national-scale pharmacy conference held every ten years in the City of Rosewood. Participants were limited to under fifty years old, but despite this, the event attracted numerous master pharmacists.

But the most impressive aspect of the Purple Haze Alchemic Meeting was the fact that it had produced two Grandmaster Pharmacists under fifty who had won the championship on their first attempt. One of these was Audrey Harvey, a senior sister of David.

Now, by naming the Pharmacy Club as the Purple Haze Club, aren’t they wishing for a grandmaster pharmacist to emerge from within their newly established club!

Obviously, not only Yolanda York held this thought. Margaret Yule, Shelley, and others also applauded the name.

“Great, we’ll go with the name Purple Haze Club!”

Seeing that everyone was satisfied with the name he proposed, David Jones nodded slightly.

“I have entered all your club’s information in the records, but since you chose the Pharmacy Club, you will still need to pass a test in order to demonstrate the capabilities of your club.” The elder handed the ID’s back to David.

“What kind of test?” David raised an eyebrow.

As expected, earning a huge amount of credits wouldn’t be easy!

Very simple, within half a year, either invent or improve upon a brand-new Class-IVelixir. Your Purple Haze Club can be officially established!” The white- haired elder said casually.

Everyone:”???”

A whole new elixir formula?

Are you sure this is a task students can accomplish?
