The Strongest Dragon in the Era of Beast Taming

Chapter 39 - 39: The Competition Begins (Seeking Follow-up Reads!)

In the following few days, aside from his daily training, David Jones spent the remainder of his time making elixirs.

Perhaps his talent in pharmacy was quite good, as among the nineteen elixir powders he made afterwards, he only failed four times.

He failed once in making Vitality Powder and three times in making Mana Powder.

The few failures were due to his mistakes in the fusion of the medicines and the control of the heat.

“Have you advanced your Confusion to the proficient level?”

David Jones j’ust took out a large bag of elixir powder from the kitchen and saw all the items in the room floating in the air. He was immediately filled with Joy and said to Rainbow.

“Yoohoo!”(V)~* (easy-peasy!)

Rainbow raised her head proudly, her eyes full of arrogance. Her non-stop

Calm Mind cultivation wasn’t in vain.

This was the first time David Jones had seen a Fresh Level X pet that had managed to master Class III Confusion.

“That’s incredible. Put these things down slowly, we still have to eat later.” David Jones hurriedly smiled and said to Rainbow.

Although happy, seeing the appliances floating in the air, David Jones felt a little nervous inside.

He was genuinely afraid that there might be problems with Rainbow’s Confusion, and accidentally damage everything in the house.

“Yooh.” (Alright)

Looking at the safely landed appliances, David Jones’s heart instantly relaxed. “Try not to use Confusion to levitate things at home, it’s easy to damage them. If you feel like the dumbbell isn’t heavy enough, you can levitate me too!” As if thinking of something, David Jones looked at Rainbow with a hint of anticipation in his eyes and gently prompted.

Flying freely in the sky has always been the dream of humans, and David Jones was no exception. However, he never had such an opportunity back in his hometown.

On Blue Star, most Trainers would choose to cultivate a powerful Aerial Pet in their teams to gallop across the sky, free and unfettered.

“Yooh!” (*>w<») (Alright!)

Hearing that, Rainbow quickly nodded, and then her eyes emitted blue light. David Jones instantly felt a light blue Confusion wrapping around his entire body, and then lifting him and slowly suspending him in mid-air.

“This is it!”

Looking down at the increasing distance between his body and the ground, David Jones’s face also showed a delightful smile.

“It’s just a pity that the height of the room is still too low!” After the excitement, David Jones murmured feeling a little bored.

Hearing her Trainer say it wasn’t interesting, Rainbow had a thought and directly increased David Jones’s flight speed using Confusion.

“Thrilling…”

After some joyful frolicking, David Jones began to cook today’s lunch.

Soon, several steaming dishes appeared on the table, including tomato scrambled eggs, cola chicken wings, and Rainbow’s favorite secret recipe baked fish.

David Jones cut the Snow Lotus Elixir in his hand in half with a sharp fruit knife. He put one half on a clean plate and the other half away safely, which would be Rainbow’s main course for tonight’s dinner.

Rainbow swallowed the half of the Snow Lotus Elixir on the plate in one gulp, and then stared at the plate of baked fish intently.

“Yooh.”

Seeing a dissatisfied Rainbow turning her head and lazily calling out to him, David’s face showed a bit more of a smile.

First, David Jones put down his bowl and chopsticks and then slowly fed the baked fish from the plate to Rainbow’s mouth one at a time.

In the past, Rainbow always liked to use Cold Breath to freeze fresh fish to eat, but now she’s become obsessed with David Jones’s secret recipe baked fish.

While enjoying the fun of feeding, David Jones suddenly heard an excited voice coming from the television.

“A new beginning, new powerhouses. The Trainer Guild’s Champion Challenge in Waterland City is about to commence grandly!”

“Glory crowned, miracles born, which new Trainers will be able to face ten rivals on this dazzling stage and win ten consecutive battles?”

“See you at 8 a.m. on Monday morning on Waterland TV!”

Oh! If it wasn’t for this voice, David Jones almost forgot that he would be participating in the Apprentice Champion Challenge held by the Trainer Guild tomorrow.

If he missed such a game, there would be no more, and it would be difficult for him to find so many opponents for Rainbow during normal times.

“There is a match tomorrow, you should rest well tonight and don’t overtrain!” David Jones softly reminded Rainbow.

“Yooyoo-ya!” (Let me train for one more hour!)

Rainbow’s crisp voice echoed in David Jones’s mind.

Early the next morning, David Jones took the bus to the Trainer Guild A Zone Battle Ground.

“So exaggerated! There are so many new Trainers in Waterland City this year?” After arriving at the competition venue and seeing the crowd of people lining up, David Jones felt his scalp tingling.

There seemed to be an unreasonable number of people in the hall, and it was unclear among those many lines who were competitors and who were

spectators.

Maybe it was because of the competition; the waiting time was much shorter than last time. In a short while, David Jones arrived at the front of the line.

“Hello, this is your contestant number 0235, and you have been assigned to compete in the A zone Duel Platform 1 and 2. You can freely choose between the two platforms to attack or defend the platform, but you only have two challenge opportunities.” The front desk girl said with a sweet voice.

“Okay, thank you.” After receiving the number, David Jones turned and left. The space in the A zone Battle Ground was vast, with dozens of Duel Platforms available for training and fighting.

There were comfortable and safe viewing platforms around each Duel Platform, enough to accommodate hundreds of spectators.

At this point, the match hadn’t started yet, and the crowd in the stands was already packed.

“There are so many spectators, this is too passionate!”

Upon arriving at the contestant’s seat at Duel Platform 1, David Jones looked at the dense crowd of people in the distance and exclaimed.

“It’s fine; there are always so many spectators for every Trainer Guild’s pet competition.”

David Jones turned his head to look, and it was a handsome young man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a flip-collar POLO shirt.

At the young man’s feet lay a Thunder Lion more than two meters long, its body filled with yellow electric arcs.

It seemed to notice David Jones’s gaze and raised its head proudly, looking into David Jones’s eyes with majesty. Its majestic and majestic body was like being cast from bronze and iron.

“Hello, nice to meet you; I’m Oswald Maud from Waterland High School No.l.” The young man took the initiative to reach out his hand and introduce himself to David Jones.

“Hello, I’m David Jones from No. 2 high school.”

After exchanging pleasantries, David Jones still couldn’t resist the urge in his heart to touch the mane of the Thunder Lion.

He pointed at the Thunder Lion still lying on the ground, exuding a magnificent aura, and curiously asked Oswald Maud, “Is this your Initial Pet?

Can I touch it?”
