Chapter 106: Breaking Through Into the Mahayana Realm
It seems like that alien cat will never wake up from her cultivation, as it has become abundantly clear that she was serious when she spoke about the passing of time meaning nothing to her…
This fact made him even more curious about all the weird and unfamiliar terms that she talked about when they first met.
Maybe she\'s some form of Immortal? I mean, she did speak about the Immortal Realm, and even I know of the myths revolving around that nonsensical concept…
I originally thought of the Immortal Realm as nothing more than something that parents told their children to keep them entertained, but is it truly a real place…?
And if so, then how much higher is this Immortal Realm from the Starry Expanse??
Or, rather, how many planes of existence will I need to transcend before I can reach such a point...? I only know of Prometheus and the place called \'Earth\' that I learned of from the MC.
After soul-searching the memories of the MC, I was also able to glean into this \'Earth\' being inside of a world filled with countless stars—a world that should be far smaller than the Boundless Archipelago, which surely means that this \'Earth\' is from somewhere beyond the world boundary…
Understanding that there were likely places that extended even further than the Starry Expanse got Azmodeus excited, as he looked to the roof of his Cave Abode.
His sight passed through the walls of his home as he found himself soaring through the skies at speeds bordering on incomprehensible.
After a few moments of flying, he found himself at the edge of a thin filament that contained an innumerable number of secrets, all of which were impossible for him to discern…
He observed the almost imperceptible runes and sigils that were inscribed into the shimmering filament, as he knew that was his key to getting away from both the Northern Spirit Continent and the Boundless Archipelago.
Speaking of the Boundless Archipelago, he had sent out a number of Mirror Mirage\'s to scour the lands of the Boundless Archipelago; however, even after all this time, not a single one of them had found even the slightest semblance of there being an end to the world…
A few Mirror Mirage\'s had traveled countless light years, and yet none of them discovered anything besides a seemingly infinite number of civilizations, all of which were utterly unaware of the world beyond their small islands.
They lived on plots of land that were only a few hundred thousand or million miles in diameter, and yet even with such a small space to roam, they appeared to be content with their lives inside cages, surrounded by a boundless ocean on all sides.
Azmodeus had yet to figure out how far these civilizations extended out; however, he would keep on improving his strength until it finally came to the point of finding an end to something that quite literally stretched on for infinity.
Nevertheless, that was all a topic for another time, as right now, the only thing on his mind was getting past a breakthrough into the Mahayana Realm…
-
WAAAA!
Intense crimson black energies swirled around inside a private room of the Heaven Exploding Cave Abode, as Azmodeus had already moved himself to a more secluded spot.
Nao Long and Yang Hua weren\'t with him due to their safety being up in the air when such a breakthrough came along.
After all, the Mahayana Realm was no joke, and for someone who possessed a Physique like \'Singularity\', it was natural that this breakthrough would most definitely incur the full wrath of the heavens!
And these speculations turned out to be correct, as even with endless amounts of protective barriers and Heavenly Veneer Formation Rune Array\'s, the whole mountain and everything in the immediate vicinity started to violently shake.
It was only at the level of a moderate earthquake due to the countless protective barriers lessening the impact, but it was still enough to elicit quite an overreaction from all the villagers that lived below Fallen Immortal\'s Mountain.
Or rather, it would be more accurate to call that \'village\' a city, as over the years, it had already reached a point where it became quite the bustling spot in the province known as \'Fallen Immortal\'s Grove\'.
This was what the descendants of the original villager\'s dubbed the surrounding few hundred miles.
In fact, Fallen Immortal\'s Grove wasn\'t the only province that had been erected over the years, as hundreds of them sprouted up all over the place in a tiny section of the River Serpent Sect\'s Outer Segment.
A plethora of commoners, nobles, and low-level cultivators in the Golden Core Realm and below had already made this part of the Outer Sect their home as they built towns, cities, and even kingdoms.
Slowly but surely, the once barren land devoid of human life was becoming a popular hotspot for all the humans in Prometheus.
And the reason for this sudden change in the attitudes everyone had about the River Serpent Sect was solely because of the existence of the Secluded Crimson Devil Lord!
Even though he had quite the intimidating title and powerful cultivators often came to pick fights with him, there were too many benefits to count from being next to the seclusion spot of the Secluded Immortal.
The first and most important of those benefits was the fact that the level of Qi that permeated Fallen Immortal\'s Mountain and everything around it was able to improve the cultivations of mortals, even if they didn\'t have the appropriate cultivation manuals!
That was just one of many boons that those who lived near the Crimson Devil Lord were capable of obtaining, and on the particular day that Azmodeus decided to attempt his breakthrough into the Early-Mahayana Realm, people from all around started speaking of \'omens\', and that such tremors were very likely to be the ascension process of the Crimson Devil Lord!
And they weren\'t too far off in their guesses, as his overall combat power would most definitely achieve the peak stages of the Lunar Ascendancy Realm, essentially making him an ascender who decided to stay in the Mortal Realm...!
