Chapter 88: A Mysterious Stone
Azmodeus\'s raspy voice came out in a dangerous way, oozing of killing intent, causing the Village Chief of Pang Sheng Village to kowtow on the ground while banging his head on the rocks until blood drew.
And along with him, the rest of the villagers, including his son, followed right behind their Chief as over a dozen blood stains appeared on the area outside the Heaven Exploding Cave Abode.
"W-We don\'t mean to offend you, Lord Sir! It\'s just that this meteorite is not as simple as it seems! Ever since its appearance, there has been nothing but disease and death in the village!
Furthermore, some unknown energy has been leaking out from the meteorite, resulting in a good majority of our livestock going berserk and attacking us with no prior warning!
In addition to all that, the meteorite has also negatively affected the weather and nature of all beings in the surrounding forest\'s...
I-If we don\'t do something about this soon, Lord Sir, then it is highly likely that the entire ecosystem will morph into one of utter disarray and chaos, with no hope of returning to the way that life once was in our humble homes…
That is why we have come here to beg you to help our people and the village of Pang Sheng…"
The Village Chief was unable to bow any lower as he awaited the response of the elusive immortal with baited breath.
And he wasn\'t the only one in such a state of trepidation, as the rest of the villagers were acting the same way, with both fear, excitement, terror, and expectancy written on their faces.
-
"..." Azmodeus thought the matter over for a few moments while sitting on his cultivation mat with Yang Hua leaning against one side of his chest and Nao Long snuggling into the other side.
"What do you girls think?" He asked the two sleeping beauties.
"Mhmm…~" Nao Long woke up with a drowsy expression as she rubbed her big, beautiful eyes in an adorable way before responding, "Just kill them and sleep with me… Mhmm…~"
After getting out those psychopathic words, she rolled over before going back to sleep with a content look on her face.
Azmodeus blankly stared at this scene as he realized that he would acquire nothing useful from that crazy woman as he looked toward the other crazy person, expecting a different answer.
However, in the end, his expectations were set too high, as she mumbled, "Just kill them and be done with it…"
Following her insane words, she made herself comfortable in his lap and wrapped her slender arms around his waist before quickly falling back to sleep.
Azmodeus figured he would obtain nothing useful from those two megalomaniacs, but he didn\'t think it would be so bad…
Maybe I should just kill the villager\'s as they suggested…?
At this thought, he quickly shook his head before throwing aside the homicidal tendencies and moving onto a different train of thought.
This \'Meteorite\' is clearly something that came from beyond the layer of space above us, and based on the description of the villager\'s, it should be capable of exuding so much Qi that it is even capable of giving mortals with no resistance to overabundant Qi levels a disease called \'Qi Spores\'.
It\'s a disease that leads to a very painful death, which, more often than not, happens to subsequently cause beasts to enter an enraged state after coming into contact with such a death.
And it\'s also highly likely that the level of compressed Qi coming off of the meteorite is so high that it\'s capable of affecting the topography and overall weather in the surrounding area.
Following these discerning thoughts, he decided to follow these villagers with one of his Mirror Mirage\'s, all of whom had reached a sufficient level of intelligence to be capable of using a basic dialect—a dialect that allowed one to converse with lower life forms like humans.
FWIP!
A blue illusory man of impeccable beauty materialized outside the Heaven Exploding Cave Abode as it looked toward the kneeling villagers before commanding, "Get up and lead me to this \'meteorite\'. I wish to know why something that\'s able to emit so much Qi has found its way into your small village to the north."
"!!!" The Village Chief and the rest of the villager\'s turned their heads up to the man who seemed to be in this reality and yet somewhere else entirely, as they shouted, "We are beyond elated to be graced with the presence of the mighty immortal! Please forgive us for not already having the appropriate accommodations for someone as great as you are!"
"Forget the pleasantries and lead my clone to the crash site," Azmodeus responded with a dry tone before walking past the still-kneeling villagers.
\'A clone…?\' The villagers thought in unison before snapping out of their reveries and rushing over to the Secluded Immortal.
…
After a few minutes of sucking up to the Immortal, the villagers ultimately led him up a hill on the outskirts of Pang Sheng Village.
And as soon as they approached this location, they bore witness to the sight of a large granite stone that had cracks spreading throughout its twenty-meter-long body.
These cracks were emitting a deep blue and purple glow, as this was a clear sign of their being an overload of absurd amounts of Qi.
To have so much Qi that it has even started to take on a liquid form… Just what is it that I\'m looking at here…?
Azmodeus had never seen anything quite like it, as although the ridges and crevices of the meteorite were like any other rock out there, the energy and molecular makeup of this thing were beyond anything that should be possible!
However, with his status as a Half-Step Heaven Ranked Profession Master of six different professions, he could tell that this stone was something extraordinary with just a glance.
But what he didn\'t know was what exactly made it so extraordinary…
