Re: Player

Chapter 116: [In order to do the right thing!]

Waking up back in the storeroom, I smelled the aroma of the breakfast that Anna and Leena prepared. My eyes looked at the ceiling, or to be exact, at the Goddesses who were looking at me right now.

\'I can understand a bit with Valencia and Alepsia, but what about Freya and Zora? Especially Zora. What is she doing monitoring me?\'

I thought, as I didn\'t like the fact that I was under the watch of someone that I am not really familiar with.

\'But still… the mere addition of Laplace Junior itself is complicated,\' I thought as I recalled back his face. His story was pretty painful too, and he was a person who I could get on my side.

But it\'s pretty impossible under the watch of the Goddesses.

And thus standing up, I then moved outside, reaching the sisters before sitting with them and talking about a bunch of things that I talked about last time. This time, I mentioned the \'brothers of salvation\' but kept the \'Adam is my brother\' part out.

And once done talking with them, I moved out of the room and strolled towards the forest. As I walked, I kept thinking about how to solve this situation.

How would I stop the Goddess? How do I save Laplace\'s son? How do I save the forest?

The questions kept popping in my mind as I kept thinking of the best way to save everyone… to find a solution, an outcome, that everyone will accept.

A way where I can gain the trust of everyone, from Laplace\'s son to Zora, everyone would look at me in a positive light and I can have them in my palms.

And thinking that, I kept walking until I reached Herath again. The overworking guard that always smiled with a painful smile. But looking at me, his smile changes to that of a mellow one.

"Wesker!"

He called me out as usual, and I moved closer to him, waving my hand as I half smiled at him.

"Hey! What\'s with the sad smile?" He asked chuckling a little, and I shook my head as I answered,

"Nothing much. Just fought two goddesses and lost against them."

He stopped smiling for a moment before a pervy smirk appeared on his face and he asked,

"Were they hot?"

I looked at him with the same look as I answered," you bet."

"That\'s my boy," he spoke before he started laughing at his own joke and I smiled with him too.

Talking with him made me relax a little, as I looked at him in a bit more positive light than before. I observed him for a few seconds before speaking,

"You know, Herath. If I were given an option to choose 34 people from this town. I will definitely save you."

-POW!

"Just how come I am so low on your list?!" He punched me with slight irritation, but I blocked it with ease.

"You just need to try harder, brother," I laughed as I spoke to him before I smiled cheerfully at him.

Rolling his eyes over, he then turned slightly serious as he asked,

"You better now?"

I nodded as I answered honestly,

"I am. Though the problem still remains as it is. I guess, I will try collecting information first before worrying anymore."

"Just call me if you need me for anything."

"Sure," I spoke as I moved towards the forest just like last time.

Just like last time, I approached the duo, Nvida and Trisha, and then destroyed my own Arrays. Killed that dark mage, scared Albedo and went on with the \'Brothers of Salvation\' thingy.

And just like last time, we all sat on a chair around a round table in the same order as before.

But this time, I was the first one to speak out,

"Nvida. You are from the World Order, aren\'t you?"

Nvida was surprised at first, but then she turned calmly as she nodded before speaking,

"I am."

The one that surprised the most was Trisha herself as she looked at Nvida with her eyes widened.

"Though it makes me a little confused. Why are you working on these parts? Wouldn\'t a Dryad as capable be planted within the Great Giza Forest? Your abilities should surely shine there, won\'t they?"

I asked again as I looked at her with a peculiar curiosity.

"There are three reasons for that. One is that a core member is already watching over there, second is that this forest is originally my home. I was born here and have lived most of my life in these forests.

Hence, this forest is easier for me to communicate in compared to the Great Giza."

She explained her reasons as we all waited for her to continue with the final one.

"And last, it is related to the Border Town. A Seer prophesied the coming of some otherworlders that will soon start dwelling within this plane."

On the outside, I was pretty much calm as I looked at her, while the others were confused at the mention of \'Otherworlders\'. But on the inside,

I was way beyond shocked to hear the news from Nvida. So they knew about the players? How much? And who is that seer who saw that? And how much did he or she see?

"Otherworlders?" I asked curiously as I looked at her and she nodded.

"Not much is known, to be honest. Even in the higher ups, it is known as an insignificant prophecy since the otherworlders will be pretty weak. Nevertheless, I am here just in case if we end up ignoring something major."

I nodded at her as I understood they were underestimating the players as of now. And of course they would since there is a level limit on the players which increases every update.

It will take some time before they will reach level 500+. And when they cross that limit, the impact that they would produce would be much more significant than anything in this world.

"I guess since I am staying here for sometime, I will keep an eye out for them too," I spoke as I looked at her before she began speaking again,

"Then I will begin first with the main topic.

Wesker, the World Order wants you to join their r ranks. Not only you, but all of your brothers as well, especially Adam.

We are creating a world filled with balance. A world where anomalies don\'t exist and people live naturally, die naturally.

Obviously, it is a hard task, but we have an enormous force behind us and will be ready to aid you in anything you want as long as you show presence whenever called upon."

\'This much was pretty much predictable. They want me to join them and then follow them in return for me to help them out…. But that\'s now what I want to hear,\' I decided before looking at her and speaking,

"Answer 3 of my questions and I will join your Order without any questions asked."

I guess these are the times that I love the fact that I could restart.

Nvida gulped at me as she prepared herself for the worst and nodded at me," I will try my best."

Smiling, I asked the first question,

"If I join your Order right here and right now, what position will I be given?"

She looked at me for a few moments before answering,

"3rd Order."

Isn\'t that the outer order that doesn\'t get much information and is ordered most of the time?

I was considering joining them to gain some information, but it seems like that plan is out of the window now.

"What is the Order\'s View regarding the Ancient Gods and the True Gods?" I asked as I looked at her.

She gulped a little as she slowly answered,

"We don\'t side with either of them. We are mortals of our own limits who cannot cross into the realm of gods. So we decided to manage things on this planet on our own."

Not the exact answer that I wanted to know. But well, not like I have only three attempts.

"If any of the Gods from either side were to stand against you, what will you do?" I asked as I looked at her, dead serious.

In the 4th Update, when the World Order was most active, they ended up messing with the Ancient God of Lies and Truth, and were obliterated from existence.

"We will fight till the very end of our lives," she answered in a short and concise manner before I smiled and then looked at the system.

And once again I woke up, and repeated the entire the scene step by step before I reached the point where I asked Nvida,

"Answer 3 of my questions and I will join your Order without any questions asked."
