Chapter 97: [To the Elf Camp (Again)!]

"Array maker," Anna pointed at me with a straight face, making Leena look at me while I took another bite from the Moonbread.

Leena looked at me with a slight confusion, as if she were thinking of something. Not really caring about it, I looked at the last moonbread in my hand and moved it closer to her.

"Want some?" I asked as I chewed the bread.

Leena looked at the bread in confusion before looking at Anna, who seemed to be holding her bread too.

"Tasty," Anna spoke to Leena, making her a bit more confused about what was going on.

To explain it a bit better, think of it as an in-built response of all beings. That if they were in deep thought of something or perhaps anything, and you ask them the simplest question or show them even the simplest thing, they will take time to comprehend.

It takes time to get out of deep or strong thoughts, and register something else totally. You can even try it on people. It\'s fun.

"What?" Leena slowly getting out of confusion looked at me and I spoke,

"We are going to the forest. Or to be precise, I am going to the forest and she is following me."

This time her mind registered it pretty fast as her eyes widened and she asked,"why?"

"I got my reasons. As for her, she is just being stubborn," I answered her again.

Leena finally understood the gist of the situation as she turned to Anna and asked,"You are doing this for mother aren\'t you?"

Anna nodded with a determined expression.

"How sure are you that this will work?" Leena asked as she looked at Anna. I kind of liked how Leena didn\'t outright reject Anna, but was ready to listen to her first.

"100%. Array Strange. Strong. Different. Not normal," Anna looked at me with a hint of curiosity and Leena followed her gaze as well. After a brief moment of thought, she sighed as she spoke.

"I guess we don\'t have anything to do right now, either. All right, I will come too. That\'s fine by you, right?"

I nodded as I looked at Herath." I guess that solves the problems a bit. Sorry for the trouble they caused. I am out of Moonbread or else I would have given you one."

He chuckled at my remark before waving his hand and speaking," it\'s all right. Let\'s catch up sometime. I got something to tell you… not really important, but maybe it will come to your fancy?"

"Sure," I smiled at him before looking at the two sisters who have sorted things among themselves as well.

"Let\'s go."

"Umu."

And then the three of us began moving into the forest once again, slowly moving towards the Elves\' camp.

We did talk about a few things here and there, but most of the things were something that I already knew. It did help pass the time, as I enjoyed making fun of them at times.

Took about 3 hours of running, but we reached the area where the Elves were. And when we reached there, I had to stop hurriedly as I signaled the girls to stop as well.

"Who are you?"

A voice resounded in the air as all three of us stayed there. I raised my hand as I spoke,

"I am an Array maker from Border Town. I am on my way to the farmhouse in regards to some minor problems regarding the house."

"And the girls behind you?"

I wanted to answer, but another voice followed.

"Hey! You both are the same girls from yesterday!!"

"Are they the same?"

"Yeah. The stubborn girls who refused to listen."

"Man, this is a pain!!"

"So, who is going to deal with them now?"

"I don\'t wanna! That bitch burned my ears!"

"Language Adriel!!"

From the number of voices, it seemed there were about 3 people talking, two boys and a girl. I turned around to see the idiotic sisters putting their heads down in shame.

"Didn\'t know you guys were famous," I smirked at them, making Anna look at me with a slight glare while Leena spoke.

"They took our family heirloom, saying it\'s a curse object!! It\'s not… fair… we…." Leena seemed to be really frustrated right now, and her voice seemed to have stopped the elves\' talk as well.

"It really is a cursed object. A really high grade one," one of the elves appeared first. And then the other two followed behind him.

\'A high grade cursed object, huh? Seems like I won\'t need to look around anymore.\' I understood where the sacrificial object appeared from.

Seems like the sisters were indirectly responsible for the summoning as well. Though, it would be better to see things with my own eyes than to judge it based on someone else words.

"It does not matter to you! You guys are just thieves!" Leena shouted at them with anger as she created a bunch of fireballs in the air and the elves readied their weapons as well.

"It does matter," the female elf on the front spoke as she pointed her weapon at Leena.

"All right, that\'s enough," I said as I took out an array and then held it in one side of the palm.

-CLAP!!!

And clapped it with the other, producing a really loud sound, making everyone fall on the ground, holding their ears.

"Now.. No more fighting as long as I am around. Leena. And you guys… what\'s your name?" I asked as I looked at them slowly standing up, barely being able to control their balance.

"Quin," the one with the blonde hair spoke. His eyes were bluish gray, and he seemed older than the others.

"Adriel," the one that, as the youngest, with a similar feature to Quin, spoke out.

"Gizell," the white-haired elf spoke the last as she observed me with a rather cautious look.

"All right, you three. Take me to your chief," I spoke to the elves with a pondering look, since I decided it would be better to talk to the head first than to the scouts.
