Emperor's Domination

Chapter 6040: Seven Nights Mantra

Chapter 6040: Seven Nights Mantra

Although the two clans had ties once, it became shallow in the present. Nevertheless, she did what she could to help Demon Saint and her clan.

One side was an emperor and a powerful clan from Enigma while the others were mere vagabonds. The disparity in status and prestige didn’t stop her from helping the Liu. This included fighting Yangrune and going as far as self-imploding.

“Cause and effect, and this ends with a fortune.” He smiled.

“What fortune can I get, Young Noble? My cultivation path looks impossible.” She said softly, merely stating a fact without feeling sorry for herself.

She understood that her being alive was already miraculous. Moreover, she had no lingering injuries either. However, the cultivation process puzzled her despite her ample experience.

She didn’t quite grasp the dao he taught her and thought she had turned stupid from the near-death experience.

“You think the Seven Nights Mantra is too simple?” He chuckled.

“Of course not, I’m sure it is supreme and profound.” She responded.

“But there is something on your mind.” He said.

“I am troubled indeed, Young Noble. I’ve spent a long time trying to comprehend your cultivation method with little success. It appears simple yet I cannot grasp its intricacies, I might be a fool.” She pondered for a moment before replying honestly.

“The only foolish thing here is your unnecessary overcomplicating things.” He shook his head.

“I apologize for my dull wits.” She said.

“Does a cultivation method need to be profound and unique across the ages, does it need to stun all cultivators upon learning it?” He asked.

She had no response since she knew little of him. Her gauge of his power was relative to Unrivalled Monarch’s reverence for him; all signs pointed at him being a hidden master.

She could have learned the same grand dao before. The pace would have been amazing and her cultivation speed could become a legend in Sin. However, she was learning his mantra.

She found it ordinary and believed dao mysteries were hiding beneath the simplicity. Unfortunately, her failure made her question her current comprehension level.

“Then the mantra you taught me...” She asked.

“It is the simplest and most basic introductory cultivation method, plain and simple, there are no mysteries or supreme transformations behind it.” He interrupted.

“...” She stood in a daze, wondering what his purpose was in teaching her this.

“Now you’re thinking I didn’t put any thought into picking one?” He asked.

“Of course not, you gave me life. The fault is my own.” She answered.

“Do you see this region?” He smiled and looked at the scenery before them.

She nodded but didn’t understand his intention.

“Each region is uniquely beautiful and distinct. Do you think that each of them was masterfully crafted?” He asked.

“Yes, wondrous creations of heaven.” She agreed with the statement.

“But, although each one is unique and breathtaking in their own way, they are all the same.” He smiled.

“All the same?” She repeated.

“The same wind, water, soil, time, space... Are there any differences in these affinities?” He asked.

“Hmm...” She pondered before responding: “No.”

“The dao, however great and supreme, have the same source. They are born from laws and laws are derived from mantras, starting from the simplest foundation and building upward.” He explained.

She listened attentively.

“Wonderful books and poems consist of simple characters, no? This applies to powerful merit laws and dao profundities. When we trace them back to the origin, their essence is nothing more than the most basic law.”

His eloquent explanation deeply affected the emperor. She had already possessed grand dao and controlled merit laws, delving into the most mystical aspects of cultivation.

However, he focused on reducing the dao to its origin, starting from the most fundamental level. She had never thought of this perspective before, or perhaps she had forgotten it due to her success.

“More often than not, cultivators forget the beginning. They seek the best possible merit laws and techniques even as beginners. These are indeed shortcuts allowing faster and higher progress, but how high can they take you?” He continued.

“Does starting from the most basic level allow one to go farther?” She asked.
