Back For My Daughter

Chapter 1061 Father's Are Not Allowed To Show Their Worry!

Standing right at the door of Ye Qian and Yuan Meng\'s bedroom, Grandpa Xiao glanced at his wife\'s back while she listlessly stared at the house entrance with knitted brows as Little Jia asked him something.

"Jia, just like how you were waiting for your father and aunt to come, your Grandma is also waiting for her son and daughter to come home."

The little girls nodded their heads with a big O formed on their lips, while Little Jia asked further.

"Ohh, then isn\'t Grandpa waiting for Papa and Aunt Meng?"

"Yes yes, isn\'t Grandpa worried about Mumma and Papa?"

Little Qiqi nodded her head and asked in confusion.

"Hehe."

A small giggle left Grandpa Xiao\'s lips while a somewhat forced a smile appeared on his lips as he continued.

"How can it be that I am not worried about my son and his wife returning yet, but I can\'t show it."

"Huh, why can\'t Grandpa show?"

Xiao Ya who was in Ye Xiao\'s arms asked while she looked to be remembering something as well.

"It\'s because, if I also show worry then how can your Grandma be fine, she will become even more worried right?"

"Hmmm."

Little Jia and Little Qiqi turned to look at their Grandma and nodded while Little Qiqi had a somewhat reluctant look on her little face.

"Grandma would always get sad when Qiqi used to ask about Papa."

The little girl muttered while Xiao Ya looked at their Grandpa and asked.

"Grandpa, is that also why my Grandpa would laugh when I wanted to meet Mom and Dad?"

Hearing Xiao Ya\'s question, Grandpa Xiao looked at her with his gaze filled with sympathy and doting.

Although he had not seen Xiao Ya\'s grandparents, he had known from Yuan Meng and Ye Qian that both of Xiao Ya\'s parents had died in an accident and Xiao Ya was staying with her mother\'s parents.

But all this long, this truth had always been hidden by the old couple all this long not letting the little girl know of it at all.

Right now, he could not just help but believe that all of this was a matter of fate, it was as if Ye Qian and Yuan Meng were made to walk on a path where they would meet this little girl and become her parents.

If not then he could not believe just what would have fallen upon this little girl\'s heart if she ever understood that both of her parents had died all this long.

Just even the fact that her father was not with her made Little Qiqi cry for days, so he could just not think what would befall this little girl if she were to know that both of her parents were dead.

"Hmm, sometimes, a father has to hide his inner emotions and not show the worry he has for his family, if not then he might be considered weak."

A few words left Grandpa Xiao\'s mouth, he could understand the pain which Xiao Ya\'s grandpa might have felt after knowing that his daughter and son-in-law both had died.

He knew that it would not be any less devastating than his reaction when he was forced to keep all his tears within his eyes.

"Ahh, Grandpa, then isn\'t it bad, if someone feels worried then they should show it."

Little Jia gasped as a certain figure appeared in the mind of not just her but also Little Jia and Xiao Ya.

"But... but Papa is not like that, Papa shows so much worry to us and even loved us so much, and won\'t stop doing what we love even if there is someone else thinking bad about him."

Little Jia said as she remembered the day when she was defended by Ye Qian when there were so many people scolding her.

"Yes yes, Qiqi knows that Papa will always be like that, Papa loved us so much, Papa doesn\'t care about anything else at all."

Little Qiqi nodded in agreement with a bright look on her tiny face.

The little girl seemed to be saying all this from the deepest part of her heart.

And it was indeed true, although all this long she had always wanted to be with her Papa when she saw her friends and classmates coming with their fathers, she had also wanted to do the same, but now when she looked at them, the little girl could see that even if the fathers of her friends came to drop them, they would quickly go since they would have to do work and could not spend much time along with them.

But that was not the same for her Papa, all this long he had been with them and would always spend so much time with them and even help them with their homework.

So she thought that her Papa was the best.

Hearing the little girls idolizing Ye Qian, Grandpa Xiao had a wry smile on his face as he didn\'t know whether to laugh or cry.

But he could definitely not disagree with them as well.

With a gentle smile on his face as he patted Little Qiqi and Little Jia\'s heads he then said.

"That is true, your Papa is very different from all the people, and I will be happy that he will always remain the same even if he doesn\'t get much smarter."

How could he not know the setbacks and upsides of Ye Qian, although many times Ye Qian\'s frail nature would make both him and his wife be worried, they also many times thought that this was for the best if not then their son would not have been the same as he was right now?

Sometimes, his foolishness and his way of thinking rather with his emotions that made him a good father, a good son and also a very good husband.

"Hehe, our Papa is so lovely, how can Papa change?"

Little Jia giggled as she smiled sweetly.

"Haha, alright, we should start the story soon, you still have school tomorrow right?"

Grandpa Xiao laughed out as he walked into eh room followed by the little girls as they nodded.

"Yes yes!"
